Really the NCAA only has one completely logical thing it can do now and that’s ask for transcripts from his Pre-K days. It’s evident they must get their hands on the fingering paintings from the fridge. They need to know did he pick the right colors for that bear? Did he keep those colors in the lines?? How high could he count because we have standards for that too! Did he over sleep or under sleep at nap time!!! And did he put some letters backwards when doing his ABCs??

RE: How did we miss out on this guy a nine iron from the campus?
Totally agree. The UK players that walked off the court without shaking hands, the twins and WCS, are sore ass losers. I’ve never had respect for any of them and this is why. And any coach that doesnt let his kids know that won’t be accepted isn’t much better.
After the game Andrew Harrison was on sitting at the interview table with his brother, Aaron, directly to his left and forward Willie Cauley-Stein directly to his right.
A reporter directed a question about Kaminsky toward Kentucky’s Karl-Anthony Towns: ‘‘Karl could you talk about Kaminsky and what if anything is unique about defending him?’’ the reporter said. At the end of the reporters question you can hear Andrew say “Fūçque that N____”. Wow! Amazing.
But fear not! He didn’t mean it that way…
Andrew Harrison @DrewRoc5 First i want to apologize for my poor choice of words used in jest towards a player I respect and know. 2:25 AM - 5 Apr 2015
When I realized how this could be perceived I immediately called big frank to apologize and let him know I didn’t mean any disrespect 2:26 AM - 5 Apr 2015
We had a good conversation and I wished him good luck in the championship game Monday. 2:27 AM - 5 Apr 2015
Now I don’t know Andrew so maybe he does have a personality in which saying this phrase can be taken the wrong way but I see it for what was said. F that N is saying forget that guy but in a vulgar way. I’m not really sure there is a way to take jest with this way of saying it. I get that young black men use the N word in everyday life but still saying to “f” him isn’t in jest. Especially after you’d just left the court without exchanging hand shakes. Kentucky fans, players, and HC are one in the same.
And to think they’re all crying about the shot clock violation today. ESPN is restoring that but not the upper cut. Go figure.

KC Star Interesting article from Rustin Dodd at the KC Star. Playing host to 7 of the top 25 $ games this year is pretty awesome! KU has an amazing fan following. We even follow our guys in the pros. RE: Best case and worst case.
@HighEliteMajor - I saw where @JayHawkFanToo suggested that without Wiggins we may not have gotten Oubre or Alexander. Maybe not. Let’s say we don’t get Oubre, since he was sold in part on taking Wiggins spot. So, we don’t have Wiggins or Oubre.
Since this thread is best case, worst case and you gave best case for this year I’ll go the other direction.
So we didn’t get Wiggins and everyone turns out the same as they did last year…
Without Andrew we lose to Duke early in the year. In the BFA instead of beating Wake because of Andrew’s strong second half we lose to them. With that loss there’s no need to worry about our L to Nova because we’d be playing USC who I think we would have beat just like Wake did. In the 5th place game for the BFA we woudl have played Tenn and just like WF we post an L. We get to come back to the states and head to Boulder to pick up another L right before Florida slaughters us putting us below 500. Next up is NM who we beat with out Wiggins because of foul trouble so we get back to 500. We beat G’town and Toledo then of course SDSU kills us. Sitting at 7-6 before conference play even starts.
In league instead of the four L’s we got we double that number. Here’s how: ISU and OSU beat us at home and away. We lose the WVU there but by even more this time, we still lose to Texas and KSU away and then the last L is the close one at Texas Tech in which Wiggins scored the layup at the end. So in league we go 10-8. Regular season isn’t looking so great at 17-14.
What’s 17-14 (10-eight) get us for the tourney?? 5th seed in the Big12 tourney facing off against 4th seed KState. (KState wins the tie breaker since they went 1-1 vs #1 seed ISU) We split the regular season with KSU but at their house it took overtime to beat us so we win on a “neutral” court. Next would be 1 seed ISU and we go out to them. Now we’re 18-15. Ouch.
Now 17-14 was WVU regular season record from last year and they didn’t get into the tourney. But we’re a big name having a down year so we go as the lowest seeded Big12. NC State move up to an 11 somewhere and we take their place in the First Four games that pits 12 seed Xavier versus 12 seed Kansas? We’re the 12 vs 5 that always screws peoples brackets. Everyone picks this 12 to upset the 5 of SLU. SLU was the only 5 to survive last year. They are in this scenario as well. We go home in the second round (aka first round).
No Wiggins = less media attention. No KO to fill AW shoes. Cliff picks up an Illini hat and doesn’t do a fake out. Svi is scared and doesn’t want to go to a team that struggled so badly so he’s headed to Virginia instead to show case his talents. Graham stays closer to home because KU isn’t trending on Twitter with the top two in the draft talk. All that love is in Kentucky who just cut down the nets with Wiggins as their leading scorer. So instead a class of Svi, KO, Cliff, and Graham we get a Royce, Milton, B. Anderson, and T. Appleton… Reloaded.
Pop retires after their great run in the playoffs and Bill fields a phone call. Not only are we shopping for a FBHC this year we also had to replace our BBHC that’s now hanging at the Alamo. Zenger hasn’t shown he can hire the right guy for the job with our lowly FB program. Let’s just hope Zenger doesn’t hire Charlie Wise 2.0 to take over the BB program. KU starts the year unranked. Missouri basketball players still mug people in this scenario. We hire Bruce Weber.

RE: Self Granted 6 MORE In-Home's by Brown; UM Gives Up
Throw in “per source(s)” and I think the wanna be experts over at 247 will run with it.
You know media (if you can consider sites like 247 and bleahcer report media that is, hell they’re more like TMZ for sports - a bunch of no talent az clown journalists claiming to be basketball recruiting experts), always wanting to break the story without getting the whole story or the truth. Neither of those things matter as long as you’re first to print!!!
(Note: This isn’t a joke.)

RE: KU REDEMPTION TOUR
The amount, or should I say the lack of actual ESPN coverage other than ESPNU’s broadcast of our Jayhawks representing Team USA is very disappointing. Especially since they’re playing for Gold tomorrow morning. I checked my mobile ESPN and they had nothing about it. But there was an article about Duke getting a recruit for next next year.

RE: Not a positive outlook
Louisville. Michigan (for another yr or two), UCLA, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Wisconsin.
Not sure the shoe co.s have a lot of say in the football world. The AAU money laundering train for football is 7on7 which isn’t as big, yet… The reason I don’t think the shoe co.s have as much swing on the gridiron is Phil’s home school has never been ranked in ESPNs top 10 since The Network started its Top300 10 yrs ago. I’d think BigPhil would be able to sign his Waterfowls a top 10 class if NFL endorsement deals were worth it.
The problem I see is what big item do the basketball players have that the football guys don’t?? The shoes! It’s all about the sneakers and sneakers with spikes aren’t everyday wear. Plus most of us can’t and or don’t play pick up football but we can and do for bball.

RE: January 21 Comparison.... This Team vs Last Year's Team
@benshawks08 I like the analysis.
Here’s mine.
-
Tharpe < Mason : Mason is a better and more consistent player. Tharpe (9.5 pts per game @ 1/21/14) had his moments and then he had moments. Last year we needed someone that would drive the ball and take charge and nobody showed up for this role. Mason (12.5 pts per game this year) as a backup last year showed more balls/hustle/heart/whatever you want to call it than most of the superstar starting guards on last years team. As a distributor Tharpe had a better A/T ratio. At this point last season he was averaging 5.7A/2.1T per. Mason is at 4.2A/2.2T. Does Frank get penalized for playing on a worse shooting team?? Last years team shot 49% total and this year we are at a lowly 43%. Did Tharpe benefit from KU taking higher % shots vs our 3slinging team we have now??
-
Selden > Selden : I take Selden last year because with a year under his belt you’d expect better results with a year under his belt. Last years stats are as follows FG% 43.7. Points: 9.8. Assists: 2.4. TOs: 2.3 3pt%: 37.7. This year he’s at 8.9Pts, 34.6% FG, 3.3A, 1.8T and dropped the 3% to 34.8%. Only thing he’s doing better is taking care of the ball.
-
Wiggins < Oubre : This is the toughest choice. Not sure you can go wrong with either pick. Wiggins filled up the bucket with a lot of 2s while KO is more reliable beyond the arc. D wise Wiggins is better but Kelly isn’t light years behind him. If you need a slasher you pick Wigs, you need a gunner you pick KO. Draw??
-
Perry or Perry : Just like the Selden debate. A year old but is he a year better?? He’s better deep but less effective closer to the basket. Is this the Joel effect in play like @benshawks08 stated? Probably so. Our options at the 5 this year aren’t as lethal as Joel and Black when he shined so the Designer draws more attention which decreases his effectiveness in the paint. Perry needs Cliff to dominate so he can regain his back to the basket mojo.
-
Embiid > Traylor : Do I need to explain myself here? No offense to Traylor but anyone picking JT over JE is nuts or has the last name Drew.

Sorry my photoshop skills are bad on the laptop. It’s too hard to trace using the mouse pad.

RE: It seems??
I hope it’s not contact with an agent but I fear with the timing it probably is. Be it Cliff, his family, or a family friend. I’m sure it’s something similar to the Ben screw up. Which to me is rather selfish of the player or player’s family/friend.
I’d really like someone to ask the responsible party this: Why??
Are they that desperate to get their hands in that NBA cookie jar that they’ll risk the entire teams success for their own personal gain?? Because they can’t wait until the season is over??
Is KU Athletics Inc. not getting the message across to these players on what’s acceptable and not?? Does KU, and if they don’t should they, have a weekly 3 hour sit down class for all first year student-athletes?? Or a weekly 1 hr class every semester for all athletes, just so they don’t forget the ins and outs?
Does KU give the information to the families on what they can and can’t do? Should the families all have to do a course yearly on what’s expected of them for KU to run a clean program.
Are there not enough days between the NCAA Championship and NBA Draft (80 days this year) for players to find and vent the proper representation?? Does one or both need to move their day to accommodate for the players?

RE: One night ONLY: An Iowa St. fan
Texas-Baylor fight. You think the Big12 does anything to the instigator (Taylor) that wasn’t ejected? Barnes denies seeing anything happen. Then Texas (mostly Taylor again) acts like fools and taunts Baylor after the game while they’re leaving the court. Barnes needs to get control of his crew. Last week Holmes throws the blatant bow. This week a bench clearing.
-
RE: Frickin' ESPN
@brooksmd Was she referencing the conference SOS only? Or the entire schedule? If they’re talking about the whole schedule… what effect does KU playing Southeast North Dakota State have on our conference championship streak?? The only games that mattered during this streak are those against 13 teams: Baylor, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Christian, Texas Tech, and West Virgina. Any game outside of those teams didn’t change one thing about the Streak.

RE: Down go the Cyclones
Text from my wife: Hogue said they were going to be the “kansas” in our conference from now on. If by that he meant getting beat by a no name in first round then he is correct

RE: Congrats Wissoxfan83
Towns go to move is to chicken wing the defender and then go up. Foulingest big I have seen all year. Watch him closely. Pulls the ball up, swings his elbows into his defender, and then takes it up.
And can someone other than CBS call the games and do commentary. ESPN has guys that drive me nuts but at least they have guys that know the college player and rules.
Can’t get the the players names correct in our games. In the pregame show one of the “experts” said the reason the Harrison twins and Stein came back is to win a championship. Yea, not because they weren’t lottery picks or in the first round… And then tonight in the ND vs UK game they had Auguste with 5 fouls since he was one from fouling out. Think that brilliance was dropped by Chris Webber. Go figure, couldn’t count in college, still can’t.
Go Wisconsin!!!

RE: National Media Blackout!
@HighEliteMajor Frans comment of “No university hoops in Europe” makes this acomplishment all the better. Where does he and all of the other ESPN clowns think Euro players come from then??? Local YMCAs?? Radio raffles?? Minus the NCAA kids involved all of the player are then playing in some sort of professional league if they don’t have university ball… Fran tries to down play KUs feat but actually make KU look better.
And like someone else pointed out. It’s the second story on the NCAAM site. Not even the headline. And on the front page there is no mention of it. But we’ve got SEC Media Day coverage!!! Wooohooo! What does Mike Slive have to say?!?!? Scroll down to find out about TMZ star K. Jenner!!!

RE: #DialloFreed
I have no quarrels with punishing those that break the rules. I do have issues with the repeated inconsistent punishments by the NCAA. Who comes up with this crap? Do they spin a wheel?? 7 games for $165 in one case and 2 games for $800 in another.

RE: Jan 9: JaQuan Lyle visiting KU this weekend.
Found this. It was on a uk website and I hate to give them any traffic…
JaQuan Lyle was the hero of Huntington Prep’s victory over Our Savior New American on Thursday night, scoring 23 points and hitting the game-winning free throws.
He’s also one of the only top-rated players in the Class of 2014 who hasn’t made a college decision.
Lyle, who decommitted from Louisville in September, was supposed to take his first official visit — to Kansas — this weekend, but that trip had to be postponed. Lyle’s nephew was born a couple of months premature and is scheduled to come home from the hospital this weekend. So he’ll spend the next few days in Indiana with his family before returning to Huntington Prep, which is off until next week.
Lyle hasn’t rescheduled the official visit to Kansas and has no other trips planned. He said he was unlikely to take any visits until March, when Huntington Prep has finished its season.
The 6-foot-5 guard mentioned Kansas, Oregon, West Virginia, Providence and Memphis as the schools that are recruiting him the hardest at the moment. He also said that homestate Indiana is no longer an option.

makes it impossible for the equation of

to ever occur. Because the NCAA is
$$$,$$$,$$$ > scandal

Wiggins signing sucks. I really hate the fact that in 30 days he will probably be traded to the T-Wolves and be apart of that piss poor organization for probably 4 years… I guess this way we won’t cheer for the Cavs and hope they win. Instead we can now all hope they lose! I always hated that I felt ok with the Heat winning because they had Mario.

RE: Fool's Gold
Because a guy calls out Self we pile on him? Anyone here happy with that game yesterday? TCU at AFH is a game the walkons should be in playing with 3 minutes left. Hell, Bill himself thought that or he wouldn’t have suited out a team manager! And if you think Bill didn’t think that then why wouldnt Self suit out the manager for Senior night instead?!?
We, so nobody thinks I’m a troll, are actually 22-5. Jaybate, you a troll? Wouldn’t a real fan know that? And we aren’t the youngest team in America or a BCS school. USC, UK, Vandy, VaTech, and IU are all younger or just as young. UK is 26-0 so the young excuse can be dropped.

RE: Courtstorming
If I’m Jamari and KU Athletics I would file battery or Kansas Statute 21-3412. Seems like an open and shut case. KsU admin should ban the fan for life from all events as well. If that were a KU fan I’d be pissed off at that behavior. If that were my kid I’d kick his ass. There is obvious intent on making contact with Jamari.
Big12, all other conference (excluding SEC since they have their crap together), every sports association, ect should take this seriously. The SEC has a handle on it and we as the big12 are behind. Big shock!
-
RE: Kubler-Ross model, stages of grief
Losing record on the road in conference and an early con tourn exit will get us a low three or high four seed. Which is good because that puts us out of the uk bracket. It’s bad because we are highly susceptible to upset with the wrong matchup. And don’t think for one second that the selection jerks aren’t drooling over the chance of canning a blue blood like us to make March madness a must watch. Happens every year…
