just been to the office for 2 hrs and i’m already tired/embarrassed from all the comments(crap) from the Marsha lovers here. Like-I see why KU doesn’t want to play us, if they played us we could teach them about defense, we could show the Hawks how to take a little 10 ft shot, the difference between a charge/block and their favorite is does Connor need to hold a clinic for 3pt shooting. I try to remain calm and the only thing I can say is we’ll have to see who’s still playing in April. Guys don’t let me down! Rock Chalk

@elpoyo not certainly wearing purple today, but come late March I know we’ll still be playing more ball games and ksu will still be wondering what happened in their football bowel game. it just seems to me that we have a big enough target/pressure on us that being #1 would not be of any help. i’m just going to get frustrated, mad,enjoy and celebrate this great season. Next year I just want to see another Big 12 & National Champion banner hanging, but i’ve never seen a banner for being #1 in the polls thru out the year. I respect your opinion, but I just see this alittle different.

@nuleafjhawk I hear you, but I most definitely enjoy this time of year. This past week was awesome with all the great games being played. It seemed like March to me which in turn led me to think of things to come. Given our talent(plus future talent), i’m very optimistic about our potential this year. After watching some of the games, I think we should feel very fortunate with our roster and coaches.

As much as I would’ve enjoyed the Dukies getting beat and as badly as Grayson just needs his a** kicked(despite being a pretty good player), i’m very content with us in the polls right here. Let them deal with the hype about being #1-while we just keep doing what we do- and even better with some extra bodies soon. April forecast looks very exciting with Wichita & Omaha just a short trip away for those first 2 weekends!

with all the hype for this one, I bit the bullet and upgraded my cox channels to include this game for tonight. not that I mind the guys on the radio, but i’ve just got to see the squids reactions tonight while we are thumping them!

while surfing last night, my son requested we leave it on the start of the Timberwolves game and noticed we had 2 KU players starting! Wiggins and Rush was pretty a awesome sight. I remember when they left, I had the anxiety of what was to come for the next year for KU. As usual, the roster was filled again and more memories. Same will be true for next year-yes-I’m ready… Rock Chalk

@jayballer54 a loss is a loss, by 1 or blown out. I will have to disagree, when you lose by a small margin, it tells me that the teams are playing competitively and yes either one could win. But when you get blown out, you don’t give yourself a chance or a come from behind is very difficult(i would consider our WV win very fortunate).
To me, the quackers reminded me of a young Mike Tyson, they came to rumble. While we were pretty flat footed.

@HawkChamp agree, get the game won with 10 minutes to go and get the bench in asap and start resting the starters like jaybate is saying. Don’t try to win it with a deep three and risk it all!

@HawkChamp that it does. all we can do is hope that it gives Frank some well deserved rest. hope that it gives them time to reflect that wearing KU colors does not mean that they squeak out a win every time. hope that they implement some basic basketball knowledge with their great skills that they have for the next 6 games. @mayjay I know that bad games happen,m but these concerns will be significant next week. Should they have figured a lot of this out before tournament time. How are these basics are going to be utilized in just a week.

@BShark just as a reference, watched a Coach Marsha game(cup cake opponent) and with 10 min left Schlockers were up 15 and Coach called a timeout and chewed butt because the team was playing soft. gotta play smart and tough for 40 to win, especially with the target that we have on our back.

@DCHawker nice summary-the only thing I would add is that yes we can beat anybody, but today shows that alot of teams can also beat us. just got to play smart for 40 next week and keep playing.

Mason’s list (so far) include the Big XII player of the year, Bleacher Report National POY , USA/The Sporting News both have him on the first team All-American. Its great that everyone is acknowledging what we’ve been seeing for a long time! It’s going to be even sweeter watching him play 9 more games!
