PAC 12 football wants compensation for play

  • The PAC has had a number of players come forward with demands for playing football which includes 50% of the revenue generated by their games. I think we are in the beginning of the end of college athletics. I don’t think they realize that football helps fund several other sports where there is a loss for the universities. The sad part for me is that thousands of kids that can only go to college with a scholarship will no longer be able to. I think these guys for get that an education is worth something and most of them won’t be going pro. Definitely interesting, I would be fine with a small sum of around $1000 given a month to the athletes because I know some guys that came from the streets and had nothing while playing on scholarship. They did get free room, board, schooling and thousands of dollars in merchandise/apparel. What’s everyone’s take on this?
