If appeal fails, KU could be facing postseason ban, coaching suspensions, other penalties

It filed its response to the NCAA months ago, and the NCAA in early February filed its response to N.C. State’s response. The NCAA’s enforcement staff was not persuaded by the arguments made by the N.C. State attorneys, who are from the same firm that’s representing KU.

NCAA Enforcement staff vehemently disagreed with the case the Bond, Schoeneck & King firm laid out. In particular, the NCAA forcefully argued that it could use evidence from the federal fraud trial as sufficient corroborating evidence to justify sanctioning N.C. State.

  • @dylans and, as usual, the NCAA is wrong. By the way, what is happening with Miller and Arizona?

ya heard that too. Also they said this is different then the whole FBI thing and that the NCAA didn’t have to prove nearly as much as things went down in the FBI They have the phone calls that they can use here , they have the texts. - -That YES they can and will use against us in our case. On local Sports programming yesterday they stated that Coach Townsend is one that could be in some really trouble , more then Coach Self. Talking about Coach might be looking at like possible 6 game suspension and Coach Townsend possibly with a 10 year thing ( Show Cause ) - -I forget what the hell it’s called. No doubt there will be a post Season ban at some point - - just when will that be they said because of the appeal and such. Talked about actually KU response was pretty flimsy but that KU had to give some kind of response & pretty much how KU was denying everything about the Basketball program BUT throwing the football program under the bus responding that YES every violation about the football program was true. - -bottom line is there will be sanctions period of some sort, might as well be ready for it - - -cause IT IS coming to some extent , whatever it is only time will tell. - I’m just ready for this whole dam mess to be over with.
