Hey thanks for the reminders of our former home, or at least pretty nearby. Lafayette is the heart of Cajun country, not New Orleans! This is a place with rich culture and even a French dialect that some people still speak. We loved going to some of the great festivals in Lafayette. We’d have to cross one of America’s longest bridges over the enormous Atchafalaya swamp to get there from Baton Rouge. The food is great. Crawfish farms abound in the lands around Lafayette. The mudbugs mainly come from those fields. As a town, Lafayette is kind of non-descript, but the people and culture really make it.

Zydeco breakfast in Breaux Bridge. Get there early on Saturday mornings to enjoy the fun! This. is right next to Lafayette
-
This guy has the best English version of Cajun accents.
-
@wissox so how many gators did you get down there? Did your accent change at all? I’ve seen that show, one of my boys watched that.
-
I got no gators. We did like to discover them in the wild. No accent attained so none to lose.
-
@wissox got no? Wonder how long you have to live there to talk like that! Probably speed it up if ya shoot gators w/that guy!
-
@wrwlumpy I was just thinking the other day I was craving a mess of mudbugs. They are so good…when you eat them, you have to wash your face because the spice burns your face.
-
@wissox That bridge goes on forever. Over 20 miles long, right?
-
@KUSTEVE Not sure how long. The Lake Pontchertrain bridge is 26 miles, but that’s at New Orleans.

Anybody know of another way to watch other than ESPN+? Looking for a free stream if it exists.
