2026 Transfer Portal Chaos/Madness Thread
-
I’m sure we won’t even try but a big one just entered the portal from the mid major market. Soph wing/forward Darin Smith Jr of Central Connecticut enters after being NEC POY and averaging 20.7 ppg. Had a 40 pt game this yr. Averaged 18 against 3 power teams this yr.
Here’s your Stokes replacement and much cheaper. Upside
-
Another big one in early. Providence freshman wing Stefan Vaaks. Avg 15ppg. Will be good for someone
-
@BeddieKU23 traffic cone unfortunately
-
First and 3rd leading scorers for Belmont in. Figure they may follow their coach to K-St
-
Purdue Fort Wayne Jr leading scorer Corey Hadnot in the portal. Averaged 20ppg on 52% shooting. Should be one that gets a lot of looks for his defense too
-
I really like Johnson for McNeese. He can really score, defend, and rebound. He’s a strong FT shooter on high volume so you assume the perimeter shot will eventually get there. And he’s just a RS Freshman
-
50% fg is a good sign too.
-
DeSean Goode is an early one to monitor
-
Keanu Dawes in from Utah. Would be an ideal "3rd big". Played well against KU. Hopefully Houston isn't his destination if we don't pursue
-
Dra Gibbs Lawhorn in from UNLV. Started at Illinois. Won't be too many better guards than him in the portal. 41% from 3 on 244 attempts.
-
Devin Royal of Ohio St. Very similar to Tre White in ways but with more girth. Capable 3 level scorer
-
@BeddieKU23 if we
-
@BeddieKU23 The name Keanu means "cool breeze over the mountains" in Hawaiian. TIL.
-
Looking like Kohl Rosario will enter soon after removing KU from his socials. No surprise given his camp being very unhappy with how his situation turned out
-
@BeddieKU23 i always appreciated the rule of not promoting to varsity a jv kid unless he will play. Same rule applies here.
-
Spent a lot of money on him to be played so sparingly after non conference. A case of going too young
