We all want a final 4, or even a NC. Yet you keep bringing up flaws of this team. Yet this team keeps winning. Remember just after the last game you felt KU had no chance of winning at Ames. Yet they did and did it pretty much controlling the whole game.

@DoubleDD no I knew they could win and I said there was no reason to lose to them.
That said, I’m not going to get too excited, if at all, over a regular season win as I view tourney wins much higher and more rewarding.

@DoubleDD it’s the silly mistakes that have to be shored up. It’s amazing the mistakes that a veteran team is making. Winning at Ames, Manhattan and Morgantown proves their ability to win tough tournament games when a lot is riding on it. Last year, they lost at Ames, Morgantown and Stillwater and guess what? They lost in a close game to Nova. Those are the types of gutty wins they have to win.
I don’t expect perfection of course, but I do want smart play which is the key to no13, a one seed and a final four.

Look I’m ok with breaking down the game. Yet it seems that is all you do. At some point you have to give credit when credit is do. This was a good win for KU.

@HawkChamp we all do! It’s a process, quote Embiid! Josh will get better. Bragg is a project. Remember we lost doke and coleby isn’t working out. Game by game. Quick thoughts here before I’m out for the night. Nice game bye Bragg with 10 points and 6 boards, got after the offensive glass. Still needs to improve on defense but so do our other bigs, hopefully this gets him going. DG didn’t shoot well but had 8 assists. Frank had some big buckets but wasn’t great, hopefully his knee is okay. Svi had some very silly turnovers but canned some big 3s when others couldn’t. LL didn’t get many rebounds for his minutes but finished well at the rim on most occasions. JJ continues to shoot ill advised 3s and never really got going, but he had a big bank shot go when the game was tight. Vick is the new Mari, has silly mistakes but steals us about 5 possessions a game off of hustle. Loved his game tonight he got my player of the game vote. Disappointed in the TOs and Fts that really should’ve cost us, I think we lucked out that they didn’t capitalize on them. Anyone remember the last college game with only 15 FTs, crazy but I liked the officials other than the listen to the crowd for who it’s outta bounds off of RCJH.

That tripping foul on Josh really sucks! I hate that call. They just showed it again, Burton just tripped himself over Josh’s foot.

And I’d consider that a phantom call. Unless you KNOW you saw one guy foul another guy, why blow the whistle? What’s going through your head? How have you been trained?
Like the “push off” at the end. The guy tried to sell it, but the ref didn’t buy. Nice work! Why is that such an aberration?!
Like I always say, err on the side of swallowing the whistle. Missed calls are forgivable. Phantom calls are not.
