Is the game better?

    The short version is Points per possession is up significantly since the new officiating emphasis and the shot clock change. PPP shouldn’t change with a shot clock change unless something else changed. The writer thinks that the emphasis and adjustments of the officiating to call more has actually trained teams to foul less, FT rate is it’s lowest in years, therefore giving offenses more opportunities to score the kind of points, FG’s that crowds like to see.

    As much as I/we complained over the officiating at the Indiana and Duke games, those prominent games have led to what we have now, increased scoring.
