LSU might hire Herman. Texas might keep Strong
-
What a trainwreck the boosters and Texas athletic dept have made out of this.
-
@approxinfinity misery set the precedent-blind leading the mutes…Surely you jest abt Strong…
-
@globaljaybird Well, not that I trust ESPN at all, and often it’s pretty clear they don’t care if they REPORT the news or just say whatever they want and MAKE the news, but this is from the article:
Texas president Gregory Fenves’ preference has been to keep Strong, sources told ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, and the odds of Strong returning for a fourth season are expected to increase dramatically if Herman is no longer available. The Longhorns need to beat TCU on Friday to finish 6-6 and become bowl-eligible.

According to Bleacher Report Houston wants to keep Herman and offered 7 figures. Texas says they want him if LSU can’t make a deal. Looks like Herman is totally in control of his future in both where he will coach and for how much. The bidding has started and there is no reserve.
-
It interesting because I heard that LSU is meeting with Jimbo Fisher this week. If herman goes to LSU does Texas go after Fisher or someone else, or as you said keep Strong.
-
No, LSU is all in for Herman. However the players have come out in support of interim Orgeron.
-
@kjayhawks Fisher isn’t going anywhere, he already turned down LSU this week and that’s why they moved onto Herman.
