Will KU play mostly small ball with only 3 or 4 credible 40% Trey threats?

Interesting idea on another thread: Will KU Play Small Ball despite 4 bigs?
A corollary question is: will KU play mostly small ball with only 3 or 4 credible 40% Trey threats?
The 2 sure shots from Trey are Frank and DVont.
The two possibles are Vick and Svi.
Three seems to dictate big ball. With three, there are long stretches where u can only play 2 Trey dingers which means 2-3 bruisers make sense.
So does 4, except for short stretches.
Big Ball could be back!

Don’t forget Bragg - he is a good shooter also. Or are you just referring to guards?
-
Assuming he is not a 40% Trey baller. If he were, that could tip the balance toward mostly 4 out , one in.
-
His rotation choices when Bragg is on the bench will be …Coleby, or Lightfoot…OR Vick or Svi. Makes sense he’s looking to get his best players in the lineup as much as possible. I think the strengths that Vick or Svi add versus a Coleby/Lightfoot - at least facing most teams, could be substantial, imo. We’ll spread the floor and crush them inside with dump offs to LL. Come on November 1st! This is like getting a brand new car that you can’t drive for weeks…

@jaybate-1.0 JJ might have a 36% trey gun up his sleeve.
-
Dump offs to LL. I hope LL has worked on quick jump. I know he improved last year but his wind up to jump gives defense time to react.
-
@Bwag he’s thinner, so hopefully gets up faster!
-
Lucas is thinner?
This will be an interesting experiment in morphology engineering.

That’s the kind I’m afraid of. That was what Wigs had, wasn’t it?
36% is just high enough to let him shoot some in hopes of getting the defense to guard him close enough to let him get around them on drives.
But that turns out to be a borrowing from Peter to pay Paul game, and keeps more of the 3ptas from being taken by our 40 percenters.

@jaybate-1.0 oops! I thought his legs were a lil more chiseled, leaner. Guess not! Senior Landen Lucas, who stands an inch taller than Coleby at 6-10, weighs 242 after being 239 in June, Hudy indicated.

@jaybate-1.0 I’m thinking lighter on his feet!
-
@jaybate-1.0 I agree about taking three point attempts from Devonte, Svi, and Lagerald, but if he is wide open I think he needs to take it and prove he can hit some.
-
Well…he might have traded fat for musle which would make him leaner and faster.
