BAD NEWS REGARDING MITCH BALLOCK
-
-
I hope he’ll still be able to comes to the Field House to watch the Hawks. Good luck and have a speedy recovery.
-
Best of luck to him and a full and speedy recovery. I wonder how this is going to affect his recruiting, although he will have his senior year to get back in shape.
-
@wrwlumpy dislike. Hope he heals quickly and comes to KU.
-
Ouch! That is bad news.
I hope he recovers well and soon!

Brannen Greene’s Disease.

@jaybate-1.0 labrum in shoulder. Both my sons had both shoulders done, chronic pain that just gets worse, from fb and basketball. They both recovered well!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Tearing anything in shoulder joints sucks really bad. I tore my rotator cuff and bicep tendon on the right side about 5 years ago, then again a year later. Its taken me this long just to get close to my normal strength back. Of course Im not 17 anymore. Either way, its not fun. Very painful to go through.
-
@Lulufulu labrum is not near as bad as rotator recovery
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Oh thats good.
-
I think it is unlikely for a rotator cuff injury to ever completely heal. I’d like to hear from anyone out there that has suffered a partial tear and fully recovered, or anyone that went under the knife and fully recovered.
I damaged one of my rotator tendons 3 decades ago and suffer no pain, unless I move my arm upwards. Yikes!
Common Labral Tears
-
SLAP Tears: A Superior Labrum from Anterior to Posterior (SLAP) tear is most commonly seen in overhead throwing athletes, such as baseball and tennis players.
-
Bankart Lesions: A Bankart lesion occurs when a shoulder dislocates. When the shoulder comes out of joint, the labrum is torn, and makes the shoulder more susceptible to future dislocations.
-
Posterior Labral Tears: Posterior labral tears are less common, but sometimes seen in athletes in a condition called internal impingement. In this syndrome, the rotator cuff and labrum are pinched together in the back of the shoulder.

@drgnslayr after my kids had surgery, our high school fb players had a ton of fb players w/same injury. Like an epidemic!
-
@drgnslayr I’ll never be 100% I’ve got probly 70-80% range of motion and about the same range of strength back. I know I’ll get stronger still but my range of motion is like it is until I leave this earth or get a new arm, shoulder kind of like IRobot.
-
@drgnslayr Mine was the 1… Also a one inch tear with abt 80 pct range recovery but strength abt 50-60 pct. I’m not a young guy either & doc said there is abt a 50 50 chance of tearing it again.
