Seattle vs Royals - The Final Homestand
-
Wow, season has gone by fast. Or so it seems. Tonite Seattle puts Iwakuma (8-4, era 3.90) on the hill against Guthrie (8-7, era 5.55). Sunday the Royals played probably the best they played all week utlizing the concept of good pitching from Medlen/Duffy and knocking the snot off the ball at the plate. Hopefully that will run through this final homestand. If it doesn’t, I predict the Royals will lose home field advantage for the AL playoffs.
-
Once again Royals pitchers are throwing batting practice for the opposing team. So far Guthrie has faced 4 hitters and given up 2 solo hrs.
-
@brooksmd his try out for roster not going so well.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 NYY/Tor tied in the 5th at 2 all in Toronto.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 So is Holland gone for the year or just regular season play? And how long Infante be out?
-
@brooksmd Davis will be closer now thru playoffs, holland has had elbow tightness. Ned said he can’t rely on him. Think infante has 2-3 weeks.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Plate ump has achieved his goal to make this a quick game. Calling low pitches out of the zone strikes and now getting hitters to have to chase them.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Puppy nite at the K.
-
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Not gonna be a good nite they keep swinging at balls 2 inches above the plate.
-
@brooksmd and they hit like that!
-
Rio would not sit like that for a game, he’d be to excited!
-
Ugly!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 So Guthrie thinks the higher his era the better? Started game at 5.55 and now up to 6.01. This one is over.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Somebody brought their horse.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Well I’ve seen enough. Gonna go catch up on some tivo stuff. See ya trmw nite.
