Royals vs Jays -- Game 3 -- Time for a turn around
-
Rios due too

@Crimsonorblue22 About 10 more runs and we might win this one.

If Davis get this out Holland may not have to face the heavy lumber in the ninth…yeah now let’s get abt 6 more for good measure!!!

@brooksmd how hot is it ?
-
-
@brooksmd so safe?
-
Be careful
-
@Crimsonorblue22 only take 30 minutes. Humidity 55%.
-
A few royals there!
-
@brooksmd wish u could do mine.
-
See u all tmrw? Same time?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Think so…
-
@brooksmd Weather station on west side of house says 101.3 in the shade w/21% humidity. Is doable…tough but doable…Much above 35 % is a witch for me to breathe. Dinner bout done, then short nap, then Presleys Country Jubilee from Branson (best show there is) on RFD TV, then ------mo’ dang again, brush haulin’ this time…work never ends for the weary.
-
@globaljaybird take it easy!!!
-
@globaljaybird Well, done mowin, took kids out, scooped up grandma’s poop. She takes one step into grass and then poops/pees on sidewalk or driveway.
-
@brooksmd My new burn pile is already 10 H / 20 W. Once the long limbs are down to the ground that Stihl 036 Pro w/20 in bar does the trick. Wife helped so cut my time by an hour.
My oldest Boxer Roxy, used to go on the deck or porch by the time she lived her 11th winter, but you have to look after the ones you love. I still miss her- the most gentle doggie soul I’ve ever known. She was Woodrow’s mama & our first Boxer to whelp litters. Maybe I can find some old pics from those little darlings if I can remember where they are.
-
@globaljaybird @brooksmd speaking of gentle, not! Rio was ready to take my hand off today. He had a chewed up tp roll in his mouth and I had to go in. He scared me, no joke. Had 3 Goldens before him, gentle as can be. He’s so wild at times. Other times he’s great. Not sure what to do about it. Worry about the gkids and being stuck here forever cause he can’t behave. Foster care?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Be patient-he’ll outgrow it. Rascal can still play so damn rough & snarl & growl so intense that it can be frightening at times, even grabbing at your pants legs & shoes if you turn your back, & he’s abt 2o months old now & weighs about 90 lbs. We’ve measured his vertical jump & it’s right at 7 feet. My fence around the backyard is 6 ft so, knock on wood, it’s kept him in so far. He’s a handful for sure. You have to stand up to them & they’ll eventually be submissive if you persist. Dogs instinctively do not want to fight, they just want dominance. If you hold an object that is longer than your arm like a broom or yardstick & just sort of push it at them they back down thinking it is an extension of your body-like a lion tamer uses a chair. Rio is just full of life & he’ll eventually mellow out & be everything you want, but it’ll take at least 18 months or longer. If you have not had him neutered, some of his natural hormonal instincts will be more difficult to overcome if ever, the longer you wait. Woodrow was our stud dog & man they are different birds. Not sure I could handle another one like him, & really wouldn’t even want to try. He was ALPHA DOG all the way. When my vet rang the doorbell the day we put him down, Woodrow growled & went to the door even as sick & weak as he had become. Was no problem to restrain at that point, but just 6 months before that he would have defended our (his territory) home literally with his life. That’s where the expression “He has balls” was applicable & Woody damn sure did. If you aren’t going to stud him then get him clipped soon as the vet says it’s time. You won’t regret it. Woodrow cleared that 6 ft fence more than once & was actually lost for 6 days in 2012. My son even drove back all night from Southbend, In. to help us search that week & that’s the same son who helped me dig his grave last July. Vet said he probably was after a female coyote & said dogs can pick up the scent a mile away.

@globaljaybird thx! A lot to think about. He’s not as gentle as usual for Goldens.
