All 4 top seeded teams are in final 4. Shocker. Mostly deserved. Only slightly tampered with.

@approxinfinity Argentina did not deserve IMO, FIFA corruption.

              Ah, good game today.
I had France and Spain as the favorites, so too bad they played in the semis.
No rooting favorite at this point, just enjoying the games.
Tomorrow should be a good one as well.

I sometimes forget that Spain's football heritage has been greatly impacted by their politics. In the past they often weren't putting their best possible 11 out there

@rockchalkjayhawk I thought the penalty while a smart play by lamine is really against the spirit of the game. Maybe I'm a goober. The Salina injury changed a lot too. I thought it was kind of a rubbish game and I hope today is better

Yea the Lamine penalty seemed a bit forced by him, but that’s the game I suppose.

I thought Spain had a great game plan. Shut down the potent France offense.

England let Argentina control the ball all second half. Rested on their laurels. GO SPAIN!

Wow, Argentina sure came to life and found some space in the second half. Late in the second half!

I was semi rooting for England since they haven’t sniffed the final since the 60s!

That game was fugly for awhile. As a fan I dislike Argentina’s Simeone. Dirty.

Love the play of Enzo Fernandez! Great outside shot.

@RockChalkinTexas-0 Tommy Tuchel is such a weenie. Happy to see him get burned for parking the bus too early. After England went back 3, Argentina controlled possession 88%! Lethal cross after cross. Gorgeous soccer in the final 3rd.

What an entertaining game between England and France.

As a fan of football you sit back and just enjoy.

                            Incredible match.

                              Jude Bellingham is a STUD.

The goal he scored was sick.

Congratulations to Spain for becoming World Champions. They were far superior than their opponent.

Not a single shot on the goal by Argentina.

Their game plan of playing to draw and to intimidate Spain backfired.

                                    Read below today...

FIFA, the nonprofit that runs the men's and women's World Cup soccer tournaments, is in talks to create a $20 billion commercial vehicle that would allow outside investment in the sport's governing body for the first time. Josh Kushner's Thrive Capital would be among the lead backers of FIFA Forward Enterprise, which would oversee tournaments like the World Cup and Club World Cup. UEFA, which runs European soccer, immediately denounced the move. "It is not FIFA's to sell," UEFA said in a statement. "None of us are the owners of football."

Jeez, this thing is straight up silly. I'm not smart enough to understand the financials here, but it reeks of the usual money scheming corruption -- even though FIFA is supposed to be nonprofit.
