Kansas alumni offer Wiggins advice (ESPN)

This is great stuff: a letter to the Wig from Keith Langford, then comments from other former players, including Danny and Tyshawn. Check it out!

Great story! I hope Andrew can have a great year as a college bb
-
Wasn’t done! Just want Andrew to enjoy this year! Glad coach is taking some of the pressures off of him.

@ParisHawk Jason King’s story is indeed a great read.
Love Langford. He is a great guy, and so is his mom. We have had so many quality guys through the program over the years. Reading the article gave me both warmth and chills at the same time. The article should be archived somewhere on this site permanently, but don’t know if it will be an issues with copyrights. Maybe ask Jason about it?

This was pretty awesome. Keith was by far the best! I kind of read this as an apology from ESPN. Hey sorry we put you to a standard that no one else could every live up to, here are some comments from us just telling you try hard, have fun, be a kid, and remember your time at KU.

Great stuff. Thanks for sharing.

@bskeet Great find!
“Self Basketball 101 is usually a multiyear course. The advanced seminar is a matter of weeks.”
And when is our first game?
-
@bskeet This ESPN article hits the nail on the head. It points out what I am worried about. The OAD process will turn college basketball coaching on its head.
From the article: “Every season, Self’s teams have been a combination of talented youngsters, promising stars and reliable, program-sculpted veterans; every season, players from one group slowly move into the other.”
But not this year, when we will hope that the freshmen class can catch on quick enough to take us all the way to the national finals.
