Welcome, very much welcome! I have a favor to ask. Call me a jerk or whatever, this is mostly said in jest. But, would you please fix your profile icons with a personalized photo of some kind? Doesnt have to be an actual photo of yourself. Just please make it something other than the quilty doily patters on the default. Bcuz lets be honest. They kinda suck. No offense people.

I’m NOT a new member … but I DO LIKE personal profile icon! It is a "default system generated “profile icon.” I think it looks a heck of a lot better than YOURS does. Talk about “kinda suck” … YOUR profile icon is Number #1 on that list.

About 5 years ago, I stopped in a place called the Museum of Appalachia off I-75 about 40 miles north of Knoxville, in a little town called Clinton, Tennessee. I spent about an hour wandering around this place looking at old log cabins, goats and chickens, then I ducked into some of the bigger buildings where they had about every piece of junk relic from mountain life in the 1800s-mid 1900s you could imagine. Buckets, clothes, quilts, furniture, fiddles, banjos made out of cigar boxes… stuff like that. The displays all had handwritten cards explaining what stuff was and where it came from. One building had some interesting appalachian art–paintings, textiles, and sculptures and stuff. Right there in the middle of this display I spot what sure as hell looked like a jayhawk carved out of wood. I took a picture of it of course.
That’s the kind of effort I expect from people in finding an original avatar.
