Shoe companies

Thanks for posting this information.
Since we’ve recently been talking about copyright infringement we should be respectful on all aspects of that topic.
We shouldn’t copy/paste complete journalism stories in our forum because it does violate copyright law.
The typical way around this is to maybe take a paragraph from the story, and then give a direct link to it. Few news organizations have an issue with that because we are promoting their website.
Here is a good method of offering up this story:
"Rick Pitino wasn’t at SEC Media Day, but in a way, he kind of was.
A few weeks ago, the Louisville coach was quite vocfierous in sharing his feelings about the ways in which shoe companies meddle in recruiting affairs."

@drgnslayr or you could just fix them for me! Thx!

Spot on. Many content provider have what they call web crawlers that browse the net to make sure their copyrighted content is not used without permission and the larger one will send you cease and desist letters. They do however welcome links to their sites as it represents additional hits for them.
The procedure you outlined is pretty much the one I suggested a while back as the SOP for this site when citing outside sources; it is what we do in the other site I help moderate and what I personally use in this forum as well.

I want to be the first to announce that I have coined “Ekin” and “sadida” as names for imaginary PetroShoeCoes in my own satiric inverse universe. I now claim to have intellectual property rights in them and if anyone so much as thinks about about using them without my expressed written consent, then I am going to send Mot Esiurc from the Troper Ytironim to arrest them preemptively.
Txen!

If Pitino had signed 5 blue chippers this summer, does anyone think we would’ve heard a peep? Rick, being a spokesman for integrity and virtue might not be your bag, even if you’re right. Every time you open up the piehole, I think about what you did to your wife, your family, your university the night you got caught by the world with your pants down.

And I’m staking my claim to UBUF. This public notice illustrates my intent to use and own this mark for all clothing items, plumbing supplies, hackberry tree rooting products, and underwater violins and bows.

It’s all fun and games until you don’t get the recruits.
-
I miss the Jimmy Chitwood days and Converse.
-
Someone needs to tell those recruits that KD went to Texas!
-
@wrwlumpy Speaking of Converse, a couple of years ago my daughter and every girl she knew were wearing black Converse to school every day.

It is kind of anomalous how you appear to have started this thread and then deleted your post that started the thread.
What happened?
I can sort of read the post in a kind of ghost image of it, but I cannot link a reply to it, so I am posting my question down here and adding your name with the @ sign.

Yes, the Chucks come in and out of style every 8-10 years it seems.
I even picked up a pair and they are kind of like wearing moccasins out in the forrest. Not much protection against thorns, but they sure do make you feel very in touch with the surfaces and you walk, or run on. One day, I hope the ShoeCoes go back to a much thinner soled and walled shoe that combines the increased feedback of a thin sole and wall with some kind of super duper toughness and bounceyness that protects your feet the way today’s up-armored Hummvee’s for the feet do. Don’t know if they will ever be able to do it, but materials science keeps progressing, so maybe one day it will happen.

@jaybate-1.0 maybe something made of flubber?

It’s my fault because of what I wrote about how we shouldn’t copy/paste full text articles any longer in here because we violate copyright law, so @Crimsonorblue22 asked me to fix it but I’m not able to remove the ghosting.
I hope I didn’t upset anyone… that definitely was not my intent. Since we’ve been focusing on legalities recently I thought it was best that we try to limit infractions within our site. We may never have legal issues pop up, but it should help the prestige of this site to play by the rules.

@Crimsonorblue22 and @drgnslayr
To remove ghosting try clicking edit and highlight text, then use backspace key or cut command from edit menu, then when the box is empty click submit. Ghosting should disappear. It probably wants to keep the originating post for the thread, because the replies are tied to it.

Yeeeessssssss!

I wouldn’t worry about copy/pasting full articles. Just say where it came from. This isn’t a news site. No one is making money (as opposed to copy/pasting on the kusports.com site).
