He did decommit. Wants to play in 26 to maximize his 5 for 5 due to his age. It didn't work out with him joining this yr due to the White/Council situation

Seems like there would be other factors too. Self retiring, amount of cash left in this years pot, etc.

@CasterTroy Don't really like that trade. I assume White would expect to be part of the starting 5, but then who isn't? He isn't better than Dawes at the 4 or Stokes on the wing. Ahead of Blyden? I would rather have better ballhandling at the 2-3. Does that leave Parker deep on the bench? If HCBS would really play 8-9 guys, maybe, but history tells us he won't...

White returning is a good thing. Would have easily been a top 10ish transfer on the market. Killed it in summer league and is a much needed leader and playmaker to add back in the mix. Had a good yr besides some struggles at the end. Had a late season injury and likely was gassed from too many minutes.

Seeing some chatter on socials it’s happening unless the injunction gets turned down later.

I cannot imagine him not improving with another year here. This also makes it clear they don’t trust Kohl and Parker to get it done in big roles.

White would be an awkward fit but you just don't turn down a player of that caliber who knows the system. I reckon we would have to play small ball if he came back, starting Blyden, Kinney, Stokes, White, and Dawes. Another possibility is going a big ball lineup with Blyden (or TK) at the 1, Stokes at the 2 (which he could play), White at the 3, Dawes at the 4, and Mbiya (or Reeves) at the 5.

@Jayhawk_69 that honestly doesn't sound like an awkward fit. The small lineup would probably look the best when you can afford to run it, with the bigger lineup being good for matchups that White/Dawes need help at the 4/5 or potentially whenever Stoke/White are out. Lineup versatility would be a big plus come March if both are playable.

@MR11 What I like about the big ball lineup is that we would have the size advantage in almost every game, would still be pretty quick, and still have 4 legit three-point shooters on the floor. That is a powerful and uncommon combination. The only issue is that the ballhandling in that lineup would be below average and I was looking forward to finally getting back to a 2PG look.

Yea, let's be careful about posting fake news X links. not a good practice. This is a 100% fake news/troll account, called out by many. Stick to more reliable, known sources and the world will be a better place, maybe.
