Crap on Jeff Grimes thread

@approxinfinity Hahaha I just don’t see us in position to beat them again for a very long time. There is zero silver linings in this season. We are going to lose a lot of talented players and the recruiting trail looks very bad right now. I’m negative for sure but I’m realistic to a fault and there is just no upside for Kansas football at the moment. This season set us back to square one on a rebuild.
-
@kjayhawks you dont think a competitive game and a good game plan with failure to execute could be pitched to recruits as “insert yourself in this equation and we win”?
-
@approxinfinity not recruits that want to win now. You ain’t winning at Kansas next season period
-
@approxinfinity if im a recruit right now I can go to Colorado, ISU or KSU and compete to win championships right now or go to KU knowing maybe as a junior or senior we may sniff a bowl.
-
@approxinfinity No, I think you absolutely nailed it. Until the continuity of direction quip. More like One Direction - reverse. Last night was the game that firmly cemented our place in history as one of the worst college football teams of all time.
I’ve said it before, but we CONSTANTLY snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Every single game this year we should have won. We’re a joke.
-
@kjayhawks colorado? Gross man.
-
@nuleafjhawk aw man. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on how we define worst teams in history. I will take competitive.
-
@approxinfinity everyone has their own opinion. I feel like a nationwide poll of sports fans and pollsters might have us in the bottom 10.
-
@nuleafjhawk I used to be able to point to Vanderbilt, not so much this year. lol KU football is pathetic, I hope the basketball team doesn’t disappoint as well.
-
@dylans Silver lining - at least we don’t have to worry about other teams stealing LL from us anymore!
-
@nuleafjhawk I earnestly agree.
-
@nuleafjhawk maybe it could end up being a bad thing. He has to start all over at square one next season so can he do it again?
-
Dang gonna call up my pharmacist friend and get a bulk order of Xanax in here
-
@FarmerJayhawk I hope he has better hours than “only open until 6 and closed on the weekends Walgreens”
-
@nuleafjhawk she gave me a vaccine in her kitchen once so the service is immaculate
-
@FarmerJayhawk why did I assume your friend was a guy? Evidently I’m a sexist pig. Sorry.
-
@nuleafjhawk lol no worries. She’s very much a bro
-
@FarmerJayhawk Those are very good friends to have.
-
@nuleafjhawk absolutely. Definitely the type of person you’d want your son to bring home lol
-
I still want to fire Grimes

Unfortunately there is a reason most don’t stay in the field. I was in the last “small” class before they expanded and out of all the classmates I still talk to, I’m one of the few that are still trucking.

The hours are awful but at least the pay is… wait a second… also not great

Something I found interesting , this two & six team – - - - on the Season only 2 & 6- - -Has STILL out scored their opponents for the year by FORTY SIX POINTS - -very interesting your two & six on the year and have still outscored your opponents by forty six points. - - What’s that tell ya ?
-
@jayballer67 better blow out the other team or they will find a way to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory?
-
@FarmerJayhawk I thought the pay was really good maybe @PharmacyHawk knows better. My sister in law went to the Pharmacy school and had been a pharmacist for 20 years. Her husband doesn’t work and they live 500k house and drive brand new vehicles so I assume they are doing plenty good. She does end up working 6 days a week most the time.
-
@jayballer67 If you want to have some (sick) fun - go to kuathletics.com and look at the seasons stats vs opponents. We are better in damn near EVERY category! It’s almost impossible that our record is 2-6. I’m not a math whiz, but if i objectionably glanced at the stats - I say Kansas is undefeated this season. Frickin crazy.

I hear ya, I’ve seen them and agree – -we could very easily , be 7-1 the exception with TCU being 11 , even then we were right there most the game, a Reason I have to point blame I think equally if anything o our DC. The offense scoring the points and the Defense not holding up, blame goes both sides

It’s certainly not bad at all, but as Farmer references, I wouldn’t call it great by any means. Especially when most pharmacists suffer from horrible working conditions and experience burnout in their first few years out of school when they are just digging themselves out of $110k+ student loans.
I never went into this degree with money being the focal point. It’s nice, sure, but my goal was always to help people and I didn’t want an MD’s hours lol.
Edit: I also don’t want to completely derail this thread, but having to abide by people who have absolutely zero medical knowledge (insurance companies) or the costs of modern healthcare, makes you jaded REAL fast.
-
@PharmacyHawk Insurance companies might not be good for the actual healthcare people receive? SHOCKING!
Nothing like getting a letter two months after getting a medication, test, or procedure stating oops, that wasn’t actually approved. It’s so frustrating from the outside, I can’t even imagine how taxing it is on those dealing with it everyday for so many different cases. Funny how often the jobs where people are trying to help other people are not only undervalued financially but also consistently made more difficult by people only trying to help themselves.
-
@PharmacyHawk yes I know I’ve heard a lot of stories from her about how crooked the insurance companies are but yes will take over this thread with it lol
