I’m the same unfortunately, if he doesn’t change his way of doing things, it will be exactly the same as the last 3 years

All we can hope for is he'll continue to adapt and use the last several seasons as further fuel to the fire. He seemed pretty upbeat about this past year's team and then they missed their ceiling. Some of it bad luck and some of it on him. I was prepared for either scenario but it seemed clear for the last several days he was returning. I'm glad it's not ending with this past season but its finally sunk in life after Bill Self is sooner then later. The past 3 seasons have been humbling and I got to believe its going to fuel his last great run whether its 1 or more seasons. I just fail to see him letting the new College Ball get the best of him.
Hope we go find some dudes in the portal, retain a few of our dudes and finally figure out how to play offense in this modern era

@BeddieKU23 for sure I hope he can retire after a conference championship and trip to the final four. I’m just not sure he is capable of doing such. All we can do is hope for the best.

I'm glad he decided quickly. This blue pill isn't super easy to swallow, but I should perk up as the bones of this narrative are pretty good.

@BShark I know he'll leave, and if the staff can field a competent roster, I'm ok with that. If we're a shambles and look worse with Stokes on the court than with him off it... well...
I guess Bill will retire next year. -

Who on this staff is going to lead us to the promised land in portal talent assessment? Vaughn? That's what I'd like to know. If we lose Flory, do we get someone like Punch, do we pursue the myriad of other competent players that @beddieku23 mentioned, or do we sit back and end up with 1 too few bigs and 1 too few shooters.
Bill declaring immediately is a good sign. Hopefully, he's all in and his staff is too.

I think our portal assessment showed a lot of signs of improvement last season. Melvin and Tre were really good. Our problem last season was not a lack of good individual players, but a lack of cohesion.

I think Case will be somewhere else next season, will be interesting to see who replaces him.
As far as bigs, keep an eye on Mouhamed Sylla if Flory leaves. If he doesn't we will still need another big from the portal. One thing I am pretty sure of is if Stokes is added, one of Flory/Tiller is out of here at a minimum.

In this new NIL era, it's really hard to see any continuity in any team. I hope they can keep who they want, and bring in good fits.
I'll say this as i do every freaking year...FIND SOME F*CKING SHOOTERS YOU SONSABITCHES!!!!!!!!

Tons of bigs entered the portal recently in the Flory Mold. If he leaves I'm personally done with him.

Expecting Bland to be back on staff. He did do some interviews while Self was undecided.
