Memphis and Penny Hardaway received notice of NCAA violations, according to the Memphis Commercial appeal. The violations of NCAA clauses were related to lack of institutional control, head coach responsibility and failure to monitor, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal, which obtained a notice of allegations and an amended notice of allegations from the Independent Accountability Resolution Process (IARP) investigation. Hardaway was the only coach mentioned.

NCAA needs to change the level violations on these cases of paying players that are legal now. This one in particular is dumb.
