just passing time/ playing a scenario

  • Ok guys just sitting here killing time on this nice afternoon waiting for the game tonight. - so scenario and I know we are not in this situation - -not even close but just pondering , IF and again IF a situation came up to where we lost Coach Self for any various reasons , do you think there would be a case where KU would entertain the idea of seeing if Coach Hamilton from Florida State become the Coach at KU / - he has done pretty dam good has turned Florida State into pretty solid team , recruits well seems to always get talented height - -pretty constant in the top 25 , has been doing well in a tough Conference - think just a solid Coach - think IF that happened would we ever possibly persue Hamilton ? - -just curious what ya think ? - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • No, Hamilton isn’t a good enough coach (.578 career winning percentage) and is way too old (72). This is the guy that gave Bill Self his first assistant coaching job at Oklahoma St. 35 years ago of you want reference for how long Hamilton has been around.

OH Dam I didn’t realize he was near that old , just thought he has been doing pretty good at Florida State and the ACC

  • @jayballer67 Even removing his age from the equation, his good run at FSU has basically been the past 5-6 years. Giving credit for last season, Hamilton has only made 8 of 18 NCAA tournaments at FSU.
