Yea, after I posted I did a bit more digging. Sounds like Mixon may not play in 2026, and maybe ever.
Maybe not a good choice, but I’ve always followed him since he’s from my neck of the woods. Oh well. I would very much like the Chiefs to find a competent running game somehow. I personally think decent RBs are a dime a dozen, so it can’t be that hard. Very much believe in youth at the RB spot, too. Of course Andy has to decide to run the ball now and again, too… -

He is a good player but I think investing that much into corner is a bit of a fool's errand.

Wow was I wrong about the Chiefs spending the cash on Walker! Didn’t think they could afford him and still sign multiple defensive backs. Wow. Nice.

@bshark Yea, the secondary is a mess right now. one reason i thought spending less on a RB would be smart. oh well. I'm no GM.
Looks like we got a D lineman from the Patriots. Dunno much about him, but he's apparently a run stuffing nose tackle.

Titans to sign CB Joshua Williams. That's 3 CBs and a safety.
Cardinals signing QB Minshew. Wonder who the Chiefs will sign as backup (and possible starter in early games).

KC for sure needs a quality backup who may have to start the season if Mahomes needs more time. I was hoping Minshew would stick around.

@rockchalkjayhawk My guess is his knee injury might not be healing well enough to make doctors sure he would be available until a number of games into the season.

@mayjay I would have liked to keep Chenal but he got top money which Chiefs could not afford.

The Chiefs are signing former Dolphins CB Kader Kohou.
Kohou missed all of last season with a knee injury, but has 38 career starts, 190 tackles, and 3 INTs.Will be interesting to see if they try to sign a WR or draft one. Diggs, Hill, Brown, Jennings and Samuel are some unsigned big names. Really don’t want Hill or Brown back personally.

looks like we just acquired Mahomes' back up for next season: Justin Fields from the Jets. He was once the 11th pick in the draft. Semi flop so far?
