Wiggins and Canada Fiba team

  • Considering we still have like 2 months until the first KU tip off, I thought we might need to have something to ease our basketball starved minds.

Our super stud Andrew Wiggins is lighting it up for the Canada Fiba Americas Team. I have tried to find stats and box scores and stuff but havent had much luck. The games I have watched though, our boy Wiggs has scored at least 18 and done things like this Wiggs super slam

Also the Canadian Fiba team has a former Big 12 packed roster with Wiggins, Melvin Ejim, Cory Joseph and Brady Heslip. Plus other guys like Kelly Olynyk and Nik Stauskas and Anthony Bennett. This young team is making a good run and will probably get a spot in the Olympics next year.

  • Wiggs is looking very good too. His handle has improved I think, as has his outside shooting. Im not sure about his creating for others. Wish I had access to a box score. I just watched the Canada/Uruguay game on Espn replay. WIggs had 18 points and about 6 boards, maybe 2 or 3 assists, a couple steals and a block. Pretty good stat line. He seemed to be rotating from SG to SF and back.
There was a couple really great transition scores from Wigs. One of which I posted above. He has definitely gotten a handle on his ball skills. He takes the ball from 3/4ths court starts with his left to cross half court, switches to his right and pretty much euro steps his way through two defenders to slam the ball home one handed. Nasty!

  • @Lulufulu just think, he’s not even close to his ceiling. His body will continue to fill out and get stronger. I love watching him. He seems to be pretty happy w/the wolves.

  • @Crimsonorblue22 Oh I know! He is our next KU NBA All star.
