Cin vs Royals at the K

@Crimsonorblue22 Da Moose is loose!!
-
@brooksmd Ventura looked a lot better!!!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 What a doll !!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 My knowledge of A/C is if it ain’t blowing cold air it’s broke. I do know the compressor doesn’t engage. Initial attempts to find info on the net is a dead end.
-
@brooksmd Most times if comp is inop, is a run capacitor. Checked the filter lately ?
-
@globaljaybird On a happier note than broke a/c, we were 1.5 games ahead of Det coming into tonite; Det got thumped by Mil 8-1 and we beating Cinn 3-0 top of the 8th. Whoop Whoop.
-
@globaljaybird I’m impressed!
-
@globaljaybird drive down there and fix that!
-
Clogged filter can cause run capacitor to fail. Also dirty, muddy, fan blower outside can cause overheating & kill the capacitor. Plus some blowers have more than one capacitor. Usually abt 200 each installed where I live. Have put them in myself before but finding a supply company that sells to the public can be tough. When Dad (in law) was in construction I could always get things that way but not any longer as he sold the business in 1999. Sorry abt the poor editing. Have a wet towel around first finger of left hand-nasty deep cut been bleeding most of the day.
-
@globaljaybird Home or auto a/c?
-
@brooksmd Home.
-
@globaljaybird No my wife’s car.
-
@globaljaybird Guess I shoulda asked what’s flubbed up?
-
@brooksmd When we had roof repaired after Katrina I had wind turbines removed and powered vents put in. Within a year all 3 had quit because Caps had failed. Called manufacturer and told them and ther sent me brand new motor/fan assemblies and they all had bigger caps on them.
-
Great catch by Cain. Thankfully Esky slid out of the way.
-
Back to Back shutouts first time since 1992. 2.5 game lead and 11 games over .500.
-
@brooksmd Those are a pain in the keester-always hire those done anymore. Month ago paid 2400 for a rebuilt trans in my 02 Tahoe. Month prior almost 700 for new calipers, rotors, & pads as one had seized from oxidation & other partially seized. Costly but cheaper than replacing a 4wd truck. Only 150,000 mi but paid for many moons ago. Up to about 15 yrs ago I fixed everything I could myself, Hell I hardly want to change a tire anymore. Fact, I have to take a tractor tire to the shop tomorrow to get patched.
-
@globaljaybird You must be like me. When car/truck gets old I go look at new ones, see the sticker and suddenly the one I’m driving which is paid for seems ok.
-
@brooksmd Problem with my wife’s car, the shuttle van she was riding was shutdown because not enough riders. So she has to drive and it’s 55 miles each way. She won’t drive my truck and won’t let me take her to work so no time to get it in the shop. She’s trying to find another shuttle to ride but no luck so far. And she doesn’t want to spend the money for a rental. If it was me, I’d have a/c whatever it took to get it.
-
@brooksmd my truck listed for 47,000 in 02 & theyre around 65,000 to 70,000 now-----no friggin way!! Bought it in Lawrence as a demo driven by HOF linebacker Willie Lanier. I am a GM retiree so I got a good discount & then bought (cosigned) for a 2003 Monte Carlo SS & a 2003Trailblazer for both sons. I ended up with the Monte about 6 mo later & that was a 30,ooo expense I was not expecting. But when I had to pay for it, I drove it from that day on. Boy’s ass was never ever in the drivers seat again.
-
Dang, Shields has given up 2 hr’s to the Cubs in this inning at SD.
-
@globaljaybird I used to do oil changes, disc pads, tire rotations… One day didn’t notice rubber gasket on filter stuck to the motor and put new filter on. You know how fast it will dump a couple of quarts when you start it up to check for leaks? Actually it didn’t dump, it sprayed. After cleaning up that mess that was the last oil change I did.
-
@brooksmd Signing off for tonite boss-be sure & keep the sunny side up !!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Where you been lady?
-
@brooksmd don’t know know much about cars or ac!!
-
Just turned the heat on here, freezing!!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I noticed KC crowd all bundled up. 77 down here.
-
Ventura looked awesome last night, I was at the game and my buddy and I were wondering why Ned wasn’t sending him back out there for the 8th. I was saying that he should have let him try tog et the CG SO, and then we learned on the radio after the game about the finger injury. What an awesome game to be at. Nice pitching duel with just the right amount of offense from the good guys. We did leave quite a few runs out there on the bases though. That second inning double by Omar was clutch, we needed to get to Cueto early.
-
@brooksmd Cain had no business catching that ball, but that’s what speed do!
