Could Hoiberg be out? http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/05/15/wojnarowski-on-bulls-future-fred-hoiberg-is-really-the-only-candidate/

So everyone and their dog has ISU slated as a Top 10 team this year. Well… welcome ISU! Welcome to “elite” status! Welcome to the party of rumor mills and media chaos! It is about time you jumped into the spotlight with rumors of your coach leaving, and questions about some of your players avoiding jail time. Welcome to the friggin’ party! You wanted to be an elite team?! You sure that is what you want? The bright lights can burn holes through your skin, and right on through your soul!
Be careful what you wish for, it may come true!

@drgnslayr I can’t see ISU staying at an ELITE level if Hoiberg jumps to the NBA. In fact even with Hoiberg they haven’t reached elite status. He has them on the right track, but until they reach some Final Fours and win some championships they are just a good team.

Exactly… they have just been riding Fred’s recent honeymoon status. Let’s see what happens after the divorce!

I wish sports reporters would do their due diligence and remember that Hoiberg has a heart condition for which he recently had additional surgery and it is the reason why he left his NBA front office job in the first place. I just cannot imagine his doctor telling him…sure go back to the high stress NBA to a job that is considerably more stressful than the one you originally had and to a season that is twice as long as the college season. I just can’t see him doing that, his wife and kids will probably set him straight…of course I could be all wrong.

@JayHawkFanToo agree! He was super calm during tourney. Health first.
