Offseason is too long

  • No offense to any of my friends here, but I’m not looking forward to 6 months of talk about how our upcoming season is going to go.

After two early exit, disappointing season, I am just ready to get this season going again.

Again, no offense, but I really don’t care who is going to start and where because we don’t know what is in coaches mind. We don’t know how these guys are practicing. We really don’t know what their injuries are unless they’re made public. We really don’t know what a potential recruit is going to do until he signs, because they’re just kids.

Sigh… I just want the season to start! I won’t be near a cable system that will allow me to watch the WUG, or the warmup games in KC.

This is what’s wrong with losing early in March. We are left with too long of an offseason with too much negative energy left over from the previous one. Had we pulled it together and got to the final weekend, well the offseason is just much shorter in my view.

November, while I certainly don’t want another glorious summer to pass too quickly, can’t come soon enough! Now if the Sox were looking like a worthy challenger to the Royals, then the offseason goes more quickly. But right now, we’re dead in the water.

Let’s go calendar, keep flipping those pages along! RCJHKU!

I think that is what all the chat in here helps solve over these months… to forget last March and focus on the future and positive possibilities!

I know you are thinking about self-immolating like a Buddhist monk in Vietnam to protest the length of season, but don’t do it!!!

It did not alter the outcome of Vietnam.

And it will not alter the length of the off season.

Instead, think of beautiful women and great food and a fast boat set up for getting out to the fish… s21ctop.jpg and back in a hurry!!!

    🙂

  • At least this year we have the WUG to fill the gap…:)

  • @JayHawkFanToo

As my post said, I won’t be near (which isn’t a bad thing) anyplace I’d be able to watch!

  • @wissoxfan83 I sure hope I will be able to watch, here and wug games. I can’t wait!!

  • @wissoxfan83

There probably will be lots of Internet streams readily available if you have Internet access, which with cell phones and wi-fi is almost universally available.

  • @JayHawkFanToo not sure he wants to watch??

  • @Crimsonorblue22 I’d watch if I can, but I’m definitely a technology dinosaur. No smart phone either. We stay at a summer house that has no internet either, which is fine!

  • @wissoxfan83 Reminds me of summers in my grandparents cabin In Colorado. I was pre-teen and we’d be there a week or two with no TV or Radio.

Now and then I end up off the grid for days at a time-it is very relaxing and I always find I never missed anything significant.

    Note to self-unplug more often.

  • @wissoxfan83

If there is cell phone reception then you can turn your phone into a “hot spot” and presto, you have internet. Yes, there is a cost involved but them, all good things in life usually cost…
