I read that Samardzija had been jawing at Christian Colon from the dugout earlier in the game (maybe still upset about the wildcard game) and Eaton clearly said something to Yordano at first. It’s like they say though, it’s always those that retaliate that get caught. Then Brett Lawrie and Jeff Samardjzida can play the innocent, confused guys.

My friend’s grandfather is from the south side and so a Sox fan and mourns the tearing down of Comiskey Park at least once every time I see him. “I cannot believe they tore Comiskey down for that ridiculous cellphone field they call a ballpark, makes me sick. Comiskey was more of a classic than Wrigley, son. She was a ballpark!” Or something like that.

@VoyagingJayhawk When I was a kid my dad spent 2 four year tours at Great Lakes NTC. Got to see a game at Milwaukee County Stadium, Wrigley, Comiskey and football game at Soldier.

@brooksmd My dream is to go visit all of them. Was lucky enough to see old Yankee Stadium before they tore it down back in the summer of 2000. Watched the Royals get a rare win! San Francisco has one hell of a ballpark out there, might be my favorite, after Kauffman of course.

@VoyagingJayhawk Went to see Cubs/Giants at the old park in SF when Harry Carey was still kickin about 1988 I think. Kauffman is a nice park. Usually whenever I make it back to Topeka my sisters drag me kickin and screamin to a game.

@Crimsonorblue22 Don’t know, He posted just before game time on another thread so figured he’d check-in. We got rain again here. First weekend of Jazz Fest in Nawlin’s and supposed to rain. Runs Fri - Sun this weekend and starts up again next Thur - Sun. They setup about 6 or 8 stages at the horse track and bring in some popular groups as well as local.

Haha you guys are cracking me up. I was able to make it to one KU game and I was fortunate enough for it to be the WVU game. Phog Allen was alive and well that night.

@brooksmd How do you like living down there in Louisiana? Had a friend that left after Katrina and went back as soon as he could for school, said he couldn’t imagine ever leaving the state again. About how I feel about Kansas believe it or not!

@VoyagingJayhawk It’s alright. I had planned when I retired from the AF to go to western Colo, Mont, Idaho, somewhere in that area. That all got trashed when I met my wife about a year before I retired. I was at Hurlbert Fld, FL and her Air Guard unit from Nawlin’s trained with us for 2 weeks. So here we are. She spent Katrina in the Superdome while me and my son rode it out here at the house.
