ISUBuckets.com Board Rats in Iowa Complain About too Many Threes, Call's Hoibergs Offense "Fool Gold."

  • Actually I think ISU could not take the high altitude of possibly tying for first place with Kansas and Buckled. Niang 0-6 from three. the team was 6-24. Live by the three, Die by the three. Sorry, I hope I didn’t poke the Bee Hive. What will that crazy Bill Self do this week to beat Texas as bad as we beat them in Austin? Watching the end of last night’s game let me go to sleep with a smile. Toughest Conference in America and TCU has won more games in two weeks than they won all of last year in the Conference.

  • @wrwlumpy

We should pound it inside…maybe consider going four in, one out?

(No malice just a bored rat)

  • @wrwlumpy yes! Baylor live by, ISU, die by!

    GREAT…

If Self sees this ^ we will NEVER again attempt a 3 pt shot.

    OK KU

The gift is wrapped, the conference title is yours again. Congrats. Now step up, take advantage of the great March Maddness seeding and represent the conference. Your national reputation for great seeds and early chokes can be muted a little this year. Your all time average high seeds and less than 2 wins per tournament reflects poorly on us all.

And say they do lose… ISU has to win 3 in a row just to tie. This thing is Kansas’ all the way. Oklahoma has a better chance. 2 home games and a road game at ISU, which Baylor just proved is a place you can win. OU can shoot and we don’t defend the 3. Baylor part 2 unless we actually guard somebody.

Nice made-up statistic there. The actual statistics are this: **KU has appeared in the NCAA tournament 43 times and has 96 tournament wins. That is 2.23 wins per tournament. And keep in mind that this includes tournament appearances during the era when just making it to the tournament was a tremendous achievement because only 8 teams did. KU’s win percentage in the tournament is 69.6% (6th best). **

KU has made the Sweet 16 in 6 out of 8 years and has made the championship game twice in that time. They’ve made the Elite Eight 4 out of the last 8 years. ##I hate KU just as much as anyone, but their postseason reputation is just based on narratives from the media and a couple bad losses. ##

    And one final one:

    Re: OK KU

Who cares? They are the best program in the conference and that is not going to change this year. I hate KU as well, but I hope they go far in the tourney.

    This is Ophion speaking.

  • @RockChalkinTexas Nice research.

  • @wrwlumpy I predicted the team that wins all their home games will win the conference. (went way out on a limb there!) We have two pretty tough road games left, plus one at home. I hope that’s going to be enough.

  • @DanR what? 2 at home!

  • Anybody know how we have done in the past at OU?

  • @Crimsonorblue22 LOL… you’re right! I meant two tough home games left and one on the road!

They are even fighting between themselves:

They didn’t play that poorly. Problem was Fred waited too long to stop the 12-2 run and its damage was done. Then we couldn’t get a rebound or a defensive stop. Turned the ball over severall times, and Niang tried to be the hero and forced a bunch of garbage at the end. Fell apart in the last 8 minutes.

  • @RockChalkinTexas The only reason I see we get a high seed year in and year out for the big dance is obviously because the selection committee shows too much respect for the other teams in our league we beat. Your right, we’re probably deservant of a 4 or 5 seed because the league is a bunch of also rans.

  • @Crimsonorblue22 we got beat by OU last yr in Norman, & OU fans rushed the court, which was an odd thing for them to do
