The MISERY Continues

  • @KansasComet I have no idea. I know they’re 7-19, have lost 12 SEC games in a row, and look terrible.

  • @KUSTEVE I can’t tell you how badly I feel for them…

  • @nuleafjhawk Love reading they have lost 12 straight. That takes some doing to do that.

  • Remember the sign at the last game at AFH? Something along the lines of Good bye MU, now you are UK’S beotch!..The sign was wrong, they are the entire SEC’s beotch!

  • @KUSTEVE Good point.

  • They are completely irrelevant without KU around to claim as rivals (a term I often felt only loosely applied to them, as they were never close to competitive equals). This is the biggest reason I’ve always been in favor of NOT scheduling them. Even if we scheduled 10 games with them and won all 10, it would still be a bigger victory for them than not having us on the schedule at all.

  • @icthawkfan316 I agree!

  • @icthawkfan316 OOPS…my apologies…Misery lost today by 25 to the powerhouse Vanderbilt Commodores, so it actually runs their losing streak to 13. They are now 1-13 in conference, with a sparkling record of 7-20 to date. Their next game is against Florida on Tuesday.

  • Who cares? They’re a blip on the screen. A diminishing spot in the rear view mirror.

  • @KUinLA You obviously do care, or you wouldn’t have replied.

  • @KUSTEVE I have a hard time even looking at this thread on a KU site!

  • @Crimsonorblue22 Which is why content is so important …I relish the misery of Misery.

  • @KUSTEVE I had to laugh today looking at an SEC baseball preview magazine today of all things. Picked last in the SEC? Misery!

  • @wissoxfan83 At least they’re consistent…

  • 2 VERY SIMPLE FACTS:

    1. Scheduling Mizzoo helps their program by enhancing their exposure, publicity, and helps their recruiting–> why would any good Jayhawk want to help Mizzery?

    2. The Royal Blue beatings of Mizzoo will continue, thankfully, at the hands of Kentucky.

(Lets just sit back and wait for them to turn the other cheek, not saying which ‘cheek’…, and since they are clueless, that could take a while. Pull up a chair, sit back, and enjoy!!)

  • @ralster You are right on. I’ve posted this before-so scroll down if ya’ll know it.

    1. Mizzou LEAD LEAD LEAD the Big 12 defection going after the Big 10. THEY STARTED THIS. BIG 10 says NO THANKS Mizzou-go pound sand. So then, Mizzou searches out the SEC-lands a new spot along with A&M and our conference going back to the Big 8 then plus four is in real danger of collapse.

Next stage in Mizzou history: “Oh but KU, we still play you right?” It happened here in Texas too, with A&M expecting UT to let them have it both ways. The UT folks I know say A&M can pound sand as well.

I know there are KU folks who want to play Mizzou. But I think they need us, not the other way around. So why would we reward the back stabbing Tigers. Think back to the last time we played. Down to the wire and we won. Bill Self fist pumping and screaming after the buzzer. He cherished that victory-knowing it was the last game of a series who’s beginning predates all of our lives.

Of course when the Mizzou bBall program gets turned around-and that doesn’t take much in the SEC (see Texas A&M this year), you can bet the bracket builders will schedule a KU-MU matchup every time they can. And it will be MU’s Super Bowl, just like so many teams we play every year.

  • @KUSTEVE I guess I’m too far removed from the ‘border wars’ to carry much animosity towards Missouri. Fact is, I never did. I actually rooted for them in the tournament (as long as we didn’t meet up) and in non-conference games. I felt like it made the Big 12 a better conference… And I rooted for most Big 12 (or 8, or whatever) teams against outsiders. I bet Bill would say the same thing.

Are you familiar with the term ‘schadenfreude’? Loosely defined as ‘taking pleasure in the failure of others.’ I’m no philosopher, but it seems to me like worse karma than gloating over your own success. But, whatever floats your boat, Steve. Enjoy that.

I’d rather concentrate my thoughts on what Kansas can do to improve, as a team and as a coach, to advance in the Tournament.

  • @KUinLA I understand - I know it’s a tough job trying to be the smartest guy in the room, and you can’t afford distraction from your multiple negative posts. If the post said " Coach is an idiot", you’d be on it for a month.

  • @KUSTEVE One can only hope he doesn’t procreate as his offspring would be a mess with all the negativity.

  • @ralster I edited my reply above-still on point with you-just wanted to elaborate. RCJH.

  • @KUSTEVE Hammer Time !! LOL

  • @brooksmd Remember last year the Dickie Downer (forgive the weakness to name call) that called himself iowajayhawk? Personal attacks, vulgarity, negativity to about everyone? Was so easy to rattle his cage that he shot himself in a few short weeks & was banned. May take a little longer for this guy, but he’ll likely be the same consequence. These dudes are so wrapped up on their own opinions & need for attention & don’t care if it’s positive or negative, that it’s a mere matter of time. We all disagree with our coaching staff from time to time & that’s what we’re supposed to do, but when this guy disagrees he likes to make it sound as Steve says “being the smartest one in the room”, that he has the need to chomp down on others. So is best to let this dude keep spinning the chamber-he’ll eventually get one that’s loaded. in the short term I’ll just enjoy the guys teasing him. And for the record, there are few equal to jaybate 1.0 at the task of executing the pen to be far deadlier than the sword. JMO

  • @KUinLA

Are you familiar with the term ‘schadenfreude’?

    I prefer Karma is a beotch…

  • @KUSTEVE

Hey… Kim took the Central Missouri Mules to back-to-back MIAA championships, earning him the hot seat in Columbia. So we better watch out! The Tigs are hot on our trail!

  • @drgnslayr I’m going to post every loss from now on…
