Self, Ellis, Lucas Preview Battle 4 Atlantis at Weekly Press Conference

  • Not to be a worrywart or anything, but what about the bad weather passing through the Southeast? Isn’t that going to affect their flight somehow? Unless I’m wrong, they’re not taking a direct flight from KCI to the Bahamas. That means they have to change planes somewhere. I know the news media make it their job to blow everything out of proportion, but from what I’m seeing, the team may have trouble getting there.

Anybody know anything about their itinerary?

  • Nice. Love hearing what Coach Self has to say about KU Basketball. Such a seemingly down to earth and knowledgeable guy.
I was just browsing my twitter feed and there seems to be a ton of concern regarding the new foul calling rules. After this tourney, Id be interested to see what our coach has to say about it. I wonder if there will be the major discrepancy in calling games like I have been hearing. Some games are called very tight and some are called like they were last year. Sort of like the refs are deciding to ignore the rule changes. I also wonder if the NCAA will let the rules stand as they are this year or make some sort of mid season change. If not then, surely they will have to adjust them next season.

  • We are playing in a Ballroom that will have fewer seats that a Shawnee Mission East gym. I hope they take the Chandeliers down before the game starts. Three charter planes filled with Williams Club boosters will take up most of the seats. Like Jaybate said, it used to be that rich folk went on cruises and regular folks went to basketball games. Now it’s just the opposite.

  • I’ve got Cox Cable… didn’t see our first game listed. Does anyone know if Cox will carry it? If not… are there online options to watch?

  • Wheww… now I feel better knowing that I can watch the game in Puerto Rico!

But seriously… It looks like the game will be on U-verse, Directv and Dish.

  • Not on cox, thurs. On 2078, fri and sat.

  • NOT ON COX ??

Well, I’m not going to be QUITE as thankful as I should on Thursday.

  • @nuleafjhawk, Kinda weird, I have Cox and have been one of the lucky fans to get games. We’re headed to western ks, where my diehard j- hawk relatives have not be so fortunate. But… Thursday, they get that weird channel on direct tv. Very happy! I’m sure we could could set a few extra places at the table!

  • @crimsonorblue22 What time is dinner? I’m all in!!

  • Noon, best home cooking you could have!

  • AXS is available on channel 655 on Surewest; however, it is part of the HD Digital Tier premium package only. I pay a boatload of money to Surewest for 3 phone lines, Internet and cable including 2 HD/recorder and 3 standard boxes, and now they want more money for AXS and a few other channels that are already available on standard resolution and that I never watch anyway; it’s not going to happen. I get screwed either by the Athletic Department or now by my cable provider.

  • I hope this is changed by next season? When are we back to regular tv?

  • “I hope this is changed by next season? When are we back to regular tv?”

I’m afraid the days of “regular tv” have left us, along with the quality FADs (four and dones).

AXS? Do they own Axe deodorant? Smells like a brothel on Sunday morning…

  • Colorado game gets us back to espn2, end of time Warner !

  • I know this is asked nearly every game, but does anyone know of a site to watch the Wake Forest game online? JustinTV? I’ve been watching on ESPN3 from San Diego (except for the Duke game) & it’s been surprisingly clear & smooth (knock on wood).

Thank You, Happy Thanksgiving, & Rock Chalk.

  • I have been lucky out here in PA. We get AXS TV, and all games on ESPN3 are not blacked out. Turkey and KU hoops. Heaven on earth.

Essentially all the Internet live feeds broadcast the EPN3 feed. ESPN3 does not have the KU game scheduled so the internet feed, if available, will have to broadcast the AXS feed.

I have had good luck with this site:

    Potential link to KU game

Hopefully they can stream the AXS feed.

  • I hope that works, JayHawkFanToo!

It will save everyone around me from having to eat Thanksgiving turkey through a straw… because if that link doesn’t work I won’t be able to see the game until Friday and I’ll be taping everyone’s mouth shut after 2:30pm CST on Thanksgiving. Someone always likes to spoil my tape-delayed viewings with the results beforehand.

BTW: I’ve posted this on other threads… Don’t know if it is factually correct, but in theory… if you have any of these providers and have a cable package above basic, the following channels should show ASX TV on these channels:

    AT&T U-verse TV Channel #1106, DIRECTV Channel #340, DISH Network Channel #167

  • I’ll be at in-laws tomorrow. If it ain’t football or tennis, it won’t be on over there. Die-hard LSU fans that believe there are only 2 seasons. LSU football and LSU baseball. Every year they give me LSU junk for Christmas. The shirts are so far back in the closet they’ll never see the light of day.

  • well, brooksmd… at least it is easy to spot LSU gear! I guess you could always embroider a Vikings logo over LSU…

    ; )

  • Another potential link that actually lists the game: http://www.coolsport.tv/schedule.html

  • @Brooks, I saw in the paper that LSU is dropping the price of upper level seats at the PMac to 3 bucks for the rest of the season, except for the kentacky game of course. I’ve been there for two or three games a season, and it’s, uh, boring.

  • Thank you
