KU v. TT Chat here

  • Yes Garret!!!

  • Yes Manning!!!

  • The big guns were on Jesse’s blog. Personally I don’t like the mechanics of the blog app he uses so I think from now on I’ll be here for games.

Good win today. DG looked good in his comeback. Cliff was being fed good oops from FM and DG. Perry nailing 3’s. WS looks like he might be coming out of his slump. And KO, better enjoy him while you can as I’ll be surprised if he’s here next year.

    It’s 🍺 time.

  • @brooksmd did you see osu beat Texas, at home? Ksu leading ok, barely. Baylor in OT at TCU. Crazy conference! I was at KU sports and then here, never been to jesses.

  • I didn’t check back here after asking what the plan was. Saw some of the Bucs’ at HZ so I stayed there until I got called in. I don’t like the way that chat is setup either. Hard to follow. No avatars for me to keep track of everyone either

  • KSU beats OU at OU…huge win for KSU and bigger loss for OU. You have got to protect home court to have shot at the title…

  • @JayHawkFanToo The straw dogs are dropping like flies…

  • Who would have thought after today, there are only two undefeated teams in Big 12 and none name Texas. And, who would have thought a week ago, we will be the highest rank Big 12 team heading into Okst game next week. Wow!

  • @JayHawkFanToo here we go!!!

  • I freaking love this team. 11 steals…runout city all game…no drop-off, simply an avalanche of ass whoop from beginning to end. Threes raining from all over the place, Devonte back playing… Texas and OU both losing…NFL Playoffs on right after the game…what’s not to like about this?

  • @Crimsonorblue22 We are Kansas, we feed on the PHOG, need no RPI or KenPom or whatever! RCJH!

  • While I don’t want to compete with Jesse, I feel kind of the same about the chat features on the other sites.

For the next few games, I’ll try to start a chat for all of us. However, I won’t be able to be online for the start of every game, so anyone should feel free to start up a thread for game if you don’t see one by game time.

@approxinfinity may have some thoughts on how to accommodate live game chats as well…

  • @bskeet @globaljaybird the thread seems to work well. It would be easy enough to spin the chat room we had before back up but having just one format (using a thread) seems nicer.

Ah crap @globaljaybird i edited your post. Sorry.

  • @Crimsonorblue22 Yep. I don’t normally sit around watching games all day, but too cold to do much outside plus my wife is gone for the weekend so… Crazy day in the Big psuedo-12. Just left it on ESPNU and went basketball nuts. Hope our boys keep their focus and don’t take anybody for granted.

  • @bskeet Me, @Crimsonorblue22 or @globaljaybird kept one going for all of the Royals post season games, so not to worry on the days you can’t be here. Somebody will step up.

  • @brooksmd Yeah, that was a really fun run. I enjoy the good one-liners of a live blog. Kinda seemed surreal as long as it’s been since baseball was relevant for KC fans. Think I saw a couple days back that pitchers & catchers report in about 6 weeks. Damn wish we could go to AZ during the winter. Better half was born in Phoenix. Yesterday was the 1st day above freezing here in quite sometime. With wind chills down about -20-30 below several days this week, my friggin dog is going stir crazy about to dis-assemble the entire house !!

  • I like to watch the game on the big screen, so I have to have to use a laptop or tablet to chat. I am not a fast typist, so trying to type and read posts is almost too distracting. Not too big of a problem on a game like yesterday, but on close games it takes away from the game…plus I am also checking on other games (split screen) and my multi-tasking skills are stretched to the limit. Easier to chat on sports like baseball with lots of dead time between batters, or even football with time between plays; other than time outs and half time, basketball is almost too fast to chat and take in all the details of the game.

  • @brooksmd Did you watch the LSU game? A friend gave me four tickets. The tickets read 'Courtside Club". We showed the tickets to the usher, he said “hmmm. you must know someone”. I said I do. The usher took us to a little lounge with some tables couches and a small buffet…And Shaq! Of course I said hi to him. Not to be outdone, someone points out that Roy Jones Jr. the incredible boxer is in the room too.

We go to our courtside seats and watch a great game with Shaq about 20 feet away. Roy Jones leaves early, walks behind me and I catch his eye and give him a thumbs up and he pats me on the back, but of course with the passing of time it will be that Roy Jones punched me! Fun night for sure.

Of course when I was on TV my Jayhawks hat was clearly visible, as it was in the courtside club!

  • @wissoxfan83 that is awesome!!! You are big time now!!! I wondered why you weren’t here w/us small 'taters!

  • @Crimsonorblue22 Well I wasn’t here because I was at my daughters soccer match which is way more important than a KU-TT game. I did watch the first half on my DVR, then had to leave for the LSU game which was in the evening.

  • By the way, does anyone know if Jesse’s live update was going again? I enjoy the banter there, but like some of you, the format isn’t very user friendly in my opinion. I’m probably content coming here for future games when I can, but Tuesday, another soccer conflict arises!

  • @wissoxfan83 No by the time the LSU game rolled around I was deep into preparing church bulletin and media presentation.

Wow, unranked NCSt just put kabash on #2 Pukies and storm the court.

Sounds like you had terrific seats. Now let’s see you do that at the Phog. 😃

And yes Jesse was back on. No net problems like Baylor.

  • @globaljaybird MLB channel had their Top 10 reg season games of 2014. #1 was the A’s vs Royal’s playoff game. Great to watch highlites again.

  • @wissoxfan83 Aw, damn the bad luck !!

  • @brooksmd Most exciting game I’d seen since WS game 6, 1985.
