In need of help!
-
Yes sir. I live in Ames, Iowa. I am way to superstitious and the last game I went to a bar in? The UK game. As much as I would love to stir up the cyclone fans (as I have a habit of doing) in the bar, the thought of losing to Tech surrounded by the most ignorant/obnoxious fan bases in the country really ruins as man’s buzz.
-
Which game says claims you’re “User Not Authorized”?? Last night or this Saturday?
-
@JhawkAlum do you have an espn watch app? Or watch espn
-
So, you hit the ESPNU tab on espn3 and click on the KUvsBaylor link and get “user not authorized.” Hmm. Have you gotten to a screen that has a pull down menu of service providers? Go down to Longlines and click. It should either accept you, or ask you to register with Longlines and then ask you to provide that registration information (some Longlines user ID and password related to ESPN access, if I recall correctly) . You go to Longlines web site either directly by a link on the page, or by surfing to Longlines site and getting yourself registered with Longlines. You may want to call Longlines to have them walk you through it really quickly. I had to do this once several years back with another provider and I have forgotten the details now. I would call Longlines and ask them first. You don’t want to waste a lot of time on a wild goose chase if you really are precluded from the service. Sorry I can’t be more help. Rock Chalk!
-
So this is an ESPN3 issue? If so that’s out of my realm.
-
I have no contacted Long lines directly. I was relegated to watching last game on a glitchy screen through firstrowsports to where I could only makeout the player if it was Greene (for obvious reasons) and was forced to spend hours after the game removing all the filth that website downloaded on my computer for me. I will attempt to contact Long Lines directly.
But ESPN3 works fine. It is only ESPNU that will not let me access games. Thanks for the fellas and I am eagerly waiting the announcement of Bragg as I’m sure you are doing as well!
-
It really depends on what package you have with your provider. Many will just provide ESPN and ESPN2 as part of the basic package and the other channels such as ESPNU and ESPN News(?) are part of add-0n packages. If you are getting the message on your TV screen, then ESPNU is likely not part of your package…cable package, that is and you will likely have to upgrade to get access to ESPNU and others; this is what I had to do to get access to ESPNU and FOX Sports channels and a couple of others.
ESPN3 is the channel that you access via the Internet and it will ask you to select your provider and login with your provider’s information. most cable providers provide Internet as well. If your Internet provider does no have an agreement with ESPN/ESPN3, then you are SOL. I have access to all of them but thanks to Zenger, all KU programming on ESPN3 is blacked out for the entire state of Kansas and the Kansas City Metro area.
BTW, I still hate Zenger and I don’t know which makes me feel dirtier, talking about packages or Zenger since they are both synonyms for…well, you know what…
-
@JhawkAlum check your chat
-
@JhawkAlum As Jayhawk Fan points out…I purchased the ESPN full court pkg for $100 that gives me ESPNU and the Jayhawk Network games. I get an extra 5 games…I would spend that much in a sports bar for the 5 games…
-
I do not have the full court package, simply a package that adds several different sports channels but not the ESPN Full court with games from most obscure conferences that I have zero interest anyway.
-
@JayHawkFanToo speaking of tv, abc and cox are at war right now. We have no abc. Zero!
-
@JhawkAlum you can send me a private message, and I’ll hook you up…
-
@KUSTEVE maybe it would be sweeter, just to move to Florida for the season!!!
-
Wow, that is pretty radical…are you getting a break on your rate?
I am not sure what is on ABC anymore, most of the programs I watch are on CBS and other non-network channels…and of course sports channels.
-
@JayHawkFanToo not yet!
-
Speaking of Zenger, as several have above, did see Z-wronger sitting behind the KU bench at the Faylor game?
Does he go to road games to get away from the rancor about his black outs at home?
God help us if he were in Waco laying the ground work for hiring Scott Drew to replace Bill Self, when ever Self decides to leave down the road.
“O god come all true…”–Oedipus
Yeooooooow, get me Jocasta’s broaches right NOW!!!
-
@jaybate-1.0 he looked like he was sucking crap out of his teeth.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I bet it would be sweeter…lol.
-
-
@KUSTEVE kill me now!!! My sister and husband left for Hawaii this am!!
-
@jaybate-1.0 I cracked myself up on that!! That’s what he was doing! Ewwww
-
-
@jaybate-1.0 at least I wasn’t on tv sucking crap out of my teeth!
-
Howling!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 LOLOL…That picture is Craig Park ( Spring Bayou) in Tarpon Springs. If you walked to it from where i live, it would take 3 minutes.
-
Cruel!!!
-
@KUSTEVE how 'bout we trade for the winter?
-
Something told me that was not Waco.
-
@jaybate-1.0 he lives in Florida!!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I grew up in Kansas, and I froze to death every winter. I’ll never forget climbing the rope to get to class in the dead of winter. It’s just too freaking cold in Kansas right now …lol.
-
@KUSTEVE climbing the rope? Where are you from in ks?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 When I was at KU, they had a rope tied from the bottom of the hill to the top on the street, and you had to pull yourself up. I dated a gal that lived several streets down from the Hawk ( when i say down, i mean at the bottom of the hill ), and there was a rope that people used in snow to pull themselves up the hill…
-
@KUSTEVE when did they do away w/that? Suv’s? You are pretty young too. Slayr probably did that too. So did you grow up in Lawrence?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I grew up in Liberal. Lawrence was the big city to me…
-
@KUSTEVE ewwwww, people talk bad about liberal. Kick ass sports programs!!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I was in Lawrence several years ago, and they had replaced the rope with a metal frame. You seriously have to have some form of help to make it up the hill to get to campus on that end when it is snowy out. If you try to walk, you simply slip and fall.
-
@KUSTEVE I gotta check that out!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Liberal, the bad boys, huh?..LOL. Liberal is a dirty little border town now.
-
Back to vacations.
Another good and a lot less crowded place is St. Kitts. Take the sail boat cruise from St. Kitts to Nevis. The crew that runs the most popular boat is absolutely the stewards of the spirit of Bob Marley. Pure fun. Great food. LOUD music all the way over, so-so snorkeling a couple of places, etc.
You connect through St. Maartens. Book a couple day layover and go straight to the French side of the island passing by Janet Jackson’s place. St. Kitts is veddy British. St. Maartens’ French half is, shall we say, sensuous.
Have really enjoyed both.
Aruba is better in the water, but crowded and trendy now.
Then lie and tell sis you wish you could have gone to Hawaii and eaten poi with them, but you had to get by on some lousy Caribbean cooking.
-
This is 15 minutes away…
-
@jaybate-1.0 sounds good!
-
@KUSTEVE torture! I have brown snow and ice!
-
About that rope…
When I was there, they had this Reb prisoner named Quantrill that they used to carry students up the hill on his back.
-
@jaybate-1.0 ha ha
-
@jaybate-1.0 Quantrill? I used to get to get drunk at Quantrills. Do you remember a seedy little joint in Lawrence called the Harbour Lights?
-
kill me now!!! My sister and husband left for Hawaii this am!!
That sounds so wrong on so many levels…:)
p.s. Sorry, I could not resist…
-
@JayHawkFanToo like my husband?
-
I get in enough trouble all by myself…
-
@KUSTEVE If it’s the one on Mass, Harbour Lights is still here and probably still smells the same although the bathrooms were upgraded a while back.

Next season, flip to Comcast.
Pay for it through a Paypal account.
Fund your Paypal account with an Internet Bank #2.
Fund Internet Bank #2 with Internet Bank #3.
Continue this process until you get to around 10 accounts or so.
The last account you should fund with $5.
So by the time the snit hits the fan, and these banks work backwards into collapsing your accounts, the season will be over and it only set you back $5!
PS: You might want to invent an alias as step 1!
