Clearly 2013 and 2014 are very different from the rest. The 2005 class comes close, but at least on paper so far the recent trend is a cut above prior years.
That 2005 class brought a championship in 3 years. Could these classes do it in their 1st attempt? Let’s see…

The Championship Team had 5 five star players and none of them were freshmen. We now have 4 five star players and all but one are freshmen.
The 2006-2007 team had 6 five star players of which 2 were freshmen, and that team lost in the Elite 8.
We have a stud freshman class, but so do other teams.
I say enjoy the ride, because we don’t know when it will stop.

One question - Jeff Withey isn’t listed. Where was he ranked?

Thanks @bskeet for the reminder. Jeff was a transfer, so he wasn’t on the KU high school recruits list. But he was Rivals 36 and 8th by position in 2008. I will add him tonight.
