@JayhawkRock78 not much, can’t even tell if he’s going home. I didn’t even know Embiid was the oldest of 3 kids, a younger brother, Arthur and sister. Said he died in Cameroon. The sixers head coach and his friend and mentor were w/Embiid. Skipping their game tonight. Said he was devasted!
very, very sad. Pretty young to handle that so far from home. Would guess coach is talking to him.

Tough news. All we can do is give a shout out to Joel and let him know he will always be a Jayhawk and in our thoughts and prayers.

Joel was the eldest so the brother had to be very young; our thoughts are with Joel and his family. I imagine he could use an Angel right about now…FOE.

I did hear there was a horrific crash there, many victims. Not sure if he was involved in that!

I didn’t know much about Embiid’s family, except for seeing his dad. Surprises me they didn’t see each other more often. Such a long time, makes me even sadder for them.

Joel and collegiate sis Muriel heading 6000 miles to Cameroon. Sounds as tho 76ers organization did a first-class job in supporting him until Muriel arrived and home flight departed. Interesting that LJW and KC Star have not yet followed up on original report of the death.
