I am digging the new format. Btw, 'tis I, Jhawk69. I had to change my username ever so slightly because the new site wouldn't let me log into my old account.

Umm.. this is a hot mess I may have to pull the plug on all the accounts and start over. Stay tuned.
The site is beautiful but the accounts are a dumpster fire.

I don't know if I am actually logged into nuleafjhawk's account somehow or if its just a display error but out of respect for nuleaf's privacy I'm just going to log out and then log back in later when the site is figured out.

Oh geez. Yeah thanks. So what happened was there is a mapping of user accounts to user ids. That indexing didnt migrate right so i am trying to rebuild it. Nasty stuff. I do however need someone to tell me if they can authenticate with their existing account. If not, i will turn password reset emails back on and registration back on this afternoon and we can go from there. Worst case scenario, i blow away all the accounts on the new but i would prefer to sort it out

And as for your account after you log out of nuleaf your new account will be gone

@approxinfinity I had to reset my password, and was able to sign in using my regular name so let's see what name pops up with this post.

@BShark Yeah I mean. This is something I've wanted to do for 2 years and I think its gets us wayyyyy down the road better. People just need to come back now.
The board has some crazy ass shit going on in the db, of which I am a little bit more familar with now
.They have a global table that is the index for the next user, be it registration or forgot password, and I dont know if it's because I deleted 45000 bot users when I migrated the users, but the global "next user id" was way wrong and was just plowing through existing records partially updating them. CRAZY crazy shit. So I turned off registration and login when I discovered this in the morning and I had to do family stuff.
When I got back I finally discovered that hte indexing wasnt based on looking at the records in the user table but was actually going by this other global table next uid, and I fixed the indexes in the global table and got us straight I THINK
If this proves to still be a dumpster file, I may resort to nuking all the accounts, but as it stands Im cautiously optimistic that for anyone who didnt log in this morning (or the records those handful logged in over
, if i missed reverting any) we should just work with a password reset. -

Oh, and to put everyone at ease, when I discovered that people now had auth cookies for the wrong uids, I went nuclear and changes the nodebb secret, which automatically invalidates all cookies and forces everyone to log back in.
So rest assured, nobody should now be able to impersonate you, assuming my other fixes are good.
