ANYONE USE THE OPERA BROWSER?

  • I am sick of Google watching every second of my online life, so I’m giving OPERA browser a whirl. So far, I like it better than any other browser I’ve used. It seems to be faster than Chrome, and I don’t have Big Brother breathing down my neck. My advice: give it a try…I like how it functions better…

  • You get tracked no matter what.

I am pretty much done with IE, it seem to be super slow and freezes all the time. I am using Firefox more and so far it has been fairly decent. I also use DuckDuck for searches instead of Google since it does not track your searches.

I have been using IE for so long and I am so familiar with it that is hard to give it up. Too bad Microsoft will not upgrade it to Edge on machines running Win 7.

  • @JayHawkFanToo I’m a duck duck man myself.

  • I would have quit giving Bill Gates money long ago if everything i need for work was Mac compatible. Safari/iOS treat me better.

  • It seems so far that OPERA works better than either Firefox or Chrome for me. Microsoft Edge is disqualified because you can’t use an ad blocker with it. OPERA also comes with a VPN built in, and it’s own ad blocker from the get-go ( Ghostery gets tiring tinkering with it ). That way when I raid the free stuff, I’m in like Flynn.

I tried Opera many moons ago and it had many issues. Looks like they have improved it quite a bit; I need to give it a try.
