Loyola has Sister Jean, how about Father @Red_Rooster for KU?

  • The most encouraging woman in Loyola basketball history and the KU superfan our one and only Red Rooster! How about it sir, are you up for the job?

  • Works for me!

  • But I thought KU had a 102-year old that came to her first game at AFH this season. She’s our Sister Jean. And we have freakin’ James Naismith’s grandson.

  • I love basketball as much as the next person, but I seriously question a theology that thinks God cares about a basketball game. That said, go for it Red Rooster!

  • @lincase ask Trae young

  • @lincase I do thank God a lot during our games!

  • @lincase … At 75 years YOUNG, I would be pleased to SUPPORT the JayHawks during this Tournament season. If everyone is “healthy,” I would think we have as good a chance as any other team. With a “Healthy Doke,” anything is possible including a National Championship. I do have concern that Graham can “keep going at the pace he is on.” All the other supporting players has come along GOOD and has pick up the slack. I think we make the Final 4 and then Play in the LAST GAME of the Year! I have my fingers crossed that this will be a special year for KU and this 75 year ole man !!!

Most of us probably won’t admit it, but among all the bitchin’ there is probably also a lot of beseechin’ goin’ on!

  • @Crimsonorblue22 I spoke to a fellow yesterday who said God won the Seton Hall game for us. He is four years old. Very insightful…

  • @lincase There was a joke going around after the 2003 Title game, you’ve probably all heard it - but - I like it so I’ll repeat it. (Remember - 2003)

So, Jim Boeheim and Roy Williams had both passed away. Roy was first. When Jim got to the pearly gates, he was greeted by St Peter and was given a walking tour of heaven. First stop was Jim’s new heavenly home, a nice 3 br, 2 bth ranch house, painted orange with a Syracuse National Championship flag flying in the front yard. St Peter told him that he should be very proud of winning the championship and that hardly anyone ever got a flagpole. Jim was beaming…

A little later on their stroll Jim glanced up ahead and saw this incredible mansion - HUGE, it sprawled for several blocks. It was white marble, with stained glass Jayhawks in the windows. The mile long driveway was pave with pure gold bricks and lined with Jayhawk flagpoles on each side the whole length of the drive. It had an incredibly manicured lawn and a Jayhawk shaped swimming pool. The most beautiful cheerleaders in heaven frolicked in the pool. Lavish fountains were all over the property.

Jim was taken aback! He said WHOA WHOA WHOA - what in the wide wide world of sports is a goin on here? Roy has never won a National Championship and he gets all of THIS??? And I get a crappy little ranch house??? This ain’t even right!!

St Peter looked at him and said " Jim, this isn’t Roy Willimans’ place. It’s God’s!!! "

    Rock Chalk Jayhawk

Ruby White had advice for Bill. http://fox4kc.com/2018/02/25/jayhawks-fan-turns-102-years-old/

  • @nuleafjhawk somebody should have told Trae.

  • @nuleafjhawk I do remember that joke. Several versions were going around at the time. Nice to revisit it.
