Great podcast

I have never lived near Kansas so I’m really not up on KU’s broadcasters. Of course I know of Max and Bob, but today I listened to a podcast called The Voice behind the voice. Brian Hanni was interviewed extensively back in September and the episode is available on ITunes. Really good stuff.

Bob kind of had a more impatient/bitter edge to his broadcast once Max retired. Thought I would miss him more. I’m still trying to get enthused about Hanni, but it’s probably not going to happen.

@DanR I really like Hanni! I know a lot of people don’t. I met him at a fb kickoff in wichita and he’s very personable. I feel he does his homework.

@Crimsonorblue22 I’m not giving up on him yet! He’s been a great guy around Lawrence, and I actually like what he describes during play by play, just the canned “sportscaster” voice bugs me. Wish he’d just talk, but that’ll probably come when when he’s more comfortable.

@DanR Yeah, Brian’s voice kills me. I can’t take it.
Man, I miss Max and Bob. I used to prefer the radio to any tv announcer and would always mute the tv and crank up the radio. Delay be damned good announcers are worth it!
Are there any good KU play by play guys on an online stream?
