Oklahoma returns the big 12 to the CFP
-
OU dominated TCU in the B12 title game, being ranked third they are a shoe-in for their and the conferences 2nd playoff berth in the 4 year history of CFP. I honestly was worried that adding the title game would hurt us. OU has really owned the league the last 2 years with 17-1 record with blowing a 2 touchdown second half lead to ISU as their only loss. Mayfield probably wins them another Heisman Trophy. Hopefully they can prove the B12 belongs this time with at least one win.

Clemson and OU are the consensus top 2 teams, some analysts/sports writers have Clemson as #1 and some have OU. Georgia seems to be the consensus #3 and then we have Alabama and Ohio State battling for the last spot which I believe should go to Alabama but it might go to Ohio State so the Big 10 is represented.

I understand a bit of what you said about Alabama, but let a team win their conference if they want to be national champs. I know that’s not the way our beloved NCAA basketball works, but for a 4 team playoff, then yes, win the league for goodness sakes. I don’t necessarily like a 2 loss OSU getting in if they do either, but they did win a major conference.

Arguments will be moot when Bama wins the whole thing.

It was discussed extensive on all the sports shows yesterday and today the consensus appears to be that if you want the 4 best teams Alabama is in and if you are looking at conference titles as the primary criteria, Ohio State is in. OSU has a really bad loss to Iowa later in the season where it tends to count more.

I don’t really care about the Big 12 status in football, but I hope Oklahoma gets whipped like a rented mule. Can’t stand the team in general and Baker MOUTH-field in particular.

The farther OU moves the more money the Conference gets and since all the bowl revenue (after expenses) is equally divided, KU gets free money. Go OU.

@JayHawkFanToo I understand about the money.
GO whoever plays OU !!
