Should we have a contest before each game to see which opponent is going to score their career high against us? We may as well have some fun with it, because it’s going to happen. Every game.

My vote for Thursday is Tyrell Green. Last year he played 39 minutes the whole year. This year he’s averaging 14 points a game on one of the worst teams in all of D-1. Shooting 50% from 3, sounds about right to have a career night. He had 18 against Oregon, 23 is his high twice this year.
-
Who’s their best big? That’s my vote. Of course I know nothing about UNLV except they aren’t very good.
-
@dylans Not sure they have a best. I watched them against Duke and Oregon - they are a pretty bad team. Speaking of Oregon, they look rather unexplosive and slow this year compared to last year’s tournament. I know that Oregon is one of Baylor’s “top ten wins” but they are not even close to a top team. Same with Xavier.
Beddie, I agree about Tyrell Green. He has played well this year.

@HawkChamp Baylor beat them w/out oregons best player
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I have been watching Oregon’s games this year including the ones without Brooks - they look the same with him and without him. Just look a shell of themselves from last year. They really struggled in Maui against mediocre teams. No reason we couldn’t beat them by 15 just like Baylor.
-
@HawkChamp I don’t see them very often, last year either. I like Altman, just think their always overrated
-
@Crimsonorblue22 well they played very well in the tourney before getting beat by a more explosive and hot shooting OU team. I, along with other sports writers, thought they would be better even without Brooks. UCLA looks far and away the best team out West.

Green would seem the obvious choice since at 6’-7" can match up better with our wings. Poyser would be the other player with the potential to have a career game; he is 6’-4" so one would think that KU should be able to defend him well, but then, we have had short players like Phil Forte and Keiton Paige go nuts on KU before.
