They don’t make them like they used to, maybe Stephen King doesn’t write like he used too either lol. Shawshank, The Green Mile and Stand By Me are three of the best movies ever IMO.

Also very glad that Tom Hanks had scheduling conflicts with Forrest Gump and Tim Robbins ended up Andy Dufresne

@kjayhawks2.0 I'd say my top three are Blazing Saddles. Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Drowning Mona. Or maybe not.

I’ve watched Shawshank four times, and each time I watch it, I pick up on some detail/character idiosyncrasy that I hadn’t noticed before. A classic for sure!

@ARbosshawk Morgan Freeman man. Absolutely slayed that role. Did Tom Hanks win best actor for Philadelphia over Morgan Freeman in 1994? Oh well. Oscars always a popularity contest. Like Denzel Washington winning for Training Day over Sam Rockwell in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002.

Could you imagine if Blazing Saddles was released today?

@kjayhawks2.0 I've wondered about that. I'm sure heads would roll!

@kjayhawks2.0 I saw that (originally) in the movie theater with all colors of folk in attendance. And everyone was laughing equally hard. People are too dang sensitive these days.
