I’ve had some hardships over the past year and life can be a complicated mess but everyone has their ups and downs.
I got a big promotion a year ago but the benefits haven’t outweighed the negatives so I’m at a crossroads. It has brought me financial stability in these hard times though which I’m thankful for but I know I’m going to have to make a decision one way or the other at some point.
My son has become fully invested in baseball this year and the journey still continues. He went from Little League to All Stars to now travel ball and will pitch in his first 9U kid pitch game tomorrow so that’s very exciting. I’m a nervous wreck but can’t wait to see him perform. We have lived at the baseball field since April, and it’s been an honor to watch him grow as a person and player. I don’t think we’ll know what to do with ourselves when the travel season ends next month but basketball is next up for him and he’s excited for that. Hopefully this year I can get him into watching some KU games with me as he was curious at times last season.
With work - similarly I got a promotion about a year ago. Then immediately we were (are) and industry current administration is going after. Caused a ton of stress. Went to therapy to help me understand why I was hating work so much. It very much helped keep things in perspective. Just a thought if you haven’t tried it first before leaving.
Congrats on the baseball! Good luck to him pitching! I miss playing baseball at that age more than any other competitive sports I played.
My 6 year old came home singing this, which he picked up at school. I guess theres a clapping game that goes with it. I enjoyed the regional variations in the reddit thread.

I wonder if you guys have encountered any similar spoken word things (or other things) that varied greatly by region?
@HighEliteMajor Heck, then you can practice law (and keep practicing until you get it right), sue anyone whenever you feel like it, and provide weighty answers on the Internet like real people!

Per @kenpomeroy KU has the 38th best home foul advantage in recent seasons.
I have a KP account. I looked it up. I’m pretty sure I’m on the right page. So what B12 teams get friendlier calls at home than KU?
#27 OU
#23 KSU
#14 OSU
#10 WVU
#6 TTU
#1 ISU

Stopped looking at the thread I started. Those are numbers from all D1 programs? That’s pretty interesting that ISU is #1. Does it explain its’ methodology? I’d imagine it’s a little difficult to quantify because sometimes the hometeam gets calls that are correct so it’s not really a home court thing…
Since I’m not a subscriber, would you be willing to look at UW’s rankings as well as MIchigan States? Thanks!

@jayballer73 Thank God for orthopedists!
And it sounds like they are saying, “Thank God for @jayballer73!”
Oh ya they real happy to see me lol. - - Ha when at first I seen another doctor - - he dealt with knees but dealt more directly with the menicous -he done his x-rays and came back and says - well I wish I could tell you knee’s looked worse but you have some nice legs- -I thought to myself - -WHOA hold up pander - I don’t need you telling me how nice my knee’s look lol. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
@bcjayhawk I’m 59 years old and, except for the times we’ve played them, always rooted for Wichita State.
Until they hired Greaseball. I cannot stand him. He repulses me, he’s stupid, can’t coach (Playing weak teams in a weak league don’t make you a good coach. Even the occasional lucky wins vs good teams), he has a giant greasy forehead and I imagine he has bad breath and B.O.
Other than that, he’s ok.

@joeloveshawks the down side if Kentucky ends up in the NIT is they could go on run to more wins than in the NCAA’s. I like that we are gaining on them.
…unless they play Bobby Mo…
