@DanR said in Man Hurricane headed this way , this sure doesn't sound good.:
@jayballer67 Get vaccinated as soon as you can get it.
In a few months, younger folks are not going to be holing up and being super careful to help protect the more vulnerable, and it’s going to rip through the unvaccinated population at a rate worse than we’re seeing now.
Agreed friend - -& like I posted this new strain is like 30 % more deadly
@nuleafjhawk said in We have all heard that phrase - never happen to me. - - Well:
@jayballer67 Yep - happened to me TWICE and about half of the people that I work with. I spent …7-8 hours online filling out reports, then another couple on the phone and made a trip to the local police station.
People are pretty awesome.
Actually, since this is probably going to happen to someone else here:

More and More of this going on right now because of the COVID and people being un-employed. Just sad
Yea watch a year Of Dems burning cities to the ground, but we have a problem with trumps supporters storming the capital in one day. I wonder how many Americans lost their lives because of Dem rallies
@approxinfinity Ding ding ding. Makes it hard for some people to trust experts. Need to actually take the time to think critically for yourself. I’ve been taking this seriously from the start. Making sure to be wash hands and whatnot. But I believe I mentioned this before I’ve been taking viruses and such more seriously since 2017 when I got a really bad one that had me on my ass. Until this year when I got sick after a dental appointment (I think something fell on the floor and they didn’t wipe it down…) I hadn’t got so much as a cold in between.
Checking in from the Great Pacific Northwest as I take a quick break from all the holiday hoo-hah to catch a few minutes of hoops (what else?).
Wishing my fellow KU Bucketeers all the best for the holiday season. See you in '21 !
Financially it was a no-brainer but good grief they don’t even hide their bias to bend over backwards and back around again for Ryan Day and whatever comes out of his mouth
@Crimsonorblue22 said in Coaches with their masks down:
Maybe they wear masks everyday?
Videos I’ve seen of BB practices, the players are always wearing masks. Seems kind of weird to me, but I guess it’s not going to hurt anything if they aren’t in a bubble. Maybe it’s just for the cameras, or maybe they wear them all the time to help keep one player from bringing the whole team down, or maybe they wear them so they don’t inadvertently infect someone they care about like Scooter Ward. Who knows.
I’ve seen some football players out around Lawrence and they are masked up even walking around outside. I don’t think it’s some virtuesignaling BS. I think they want to play and not get a positive test! (and wearing a mask isn’t that hard)
