I’ve had some hardships over the past year and life can be a complicated mess but everyone has their ups and downs.
I got a big promotion a year ago but the benefits haven’t outweighed the negatives so I’m at a crossroads. It has brought me financial stability in these hard times though which I’m thankful for but I know I’m going to have to make a decision one way or the other at some point.
My son has become fully invested in baseball this year and the journey still continues. He went from Little League to All Stars to now travel ball and will pitch in his first 9U kid pitch game tomorrow so that’s very exciting. I’m a nervous wreck but can’t wait to see him perform. We have lived at the baseball field since April, and it’s been an honor to watch him grow as a person and player. I don’t think we’ll know what to do with ourselves when the travel season ends next month but basketball is next up for him and he’s excited for that. Hopefully this year I can get him into watching some KU games with me as he was curious at times last season.
With work - similarly I got a promotion about a year ago. Then immediately we were (are) and industry current administration is going after. Caused a ton of stress. Went to therapy to help me understand why I was hating work so much. It very much helped keep things in perspective. Just a thought if you haven’t tried it first before leaving.
Congrats on the baseball! Good luck to him pitching! I miss playing baseball at that age more than any other competitive sports I played.
My 6 year old came home singing this, which he picked up at school. I guess theres a clapping game that goes with it. I enjoyed the regional variations in the reddit thread.

I wonder if you guys have encountered any similar spoken word things (or other things) that varied greatly by region?
Words don’t do justice how disgusted I was with my Rockets last night. I turned the game off in the first quarter when it hit double digits and checked on my phone a little later hoping it would be better and GS was up 25 around halftime. I love my Rockets, but I’ve never been a bug fan of Harden or Howard. This is the third game this postseason where they quit after getting behind early. That’s a big sign they just don’t have any heart and I don’t see the Rockets ever winning a title with those two as the cornerstones of the franchise.

It looks like the new game is to lock up Nike players earlier and earlier, and target adidas players for turning them to Nike earlier and earlier.
That LSU stack inside the SEC maybe makes a the point that Cal has to do better with the stacks he’s been getting.
Hypothesis: you want to keep getting stacks, when you can’t win rings with them, well, then you’re going to have to go out and turn some adidas players.
@brooksmd I remember watching Reggie, Vida Blue, & Catfish Hunter all play at old Municipal when the A’s were still here in KC before the butthead Charley Finley took his jackass mascot “Charley O” & sideshow to Oakland. Watched ROY Lou Pinella play for the Royals in old Municipal before he was traded to the Bombers in 1970,
@RockChalkinTexas Hey thats cool. I met Tyrel briefly after my shift one day at KU Hospital. He was coming in to go to his clinicals for Physical Therapy. Very nice guy. We talked briefly about college ball and his short time spent playing ball over in I cant remember which country. It was cool to meet him, Im glad he is all graduated now.

Look at all the good 3 point shooters in the NBA and with few exceptions they can all do the same thing; this is why they are so difficult to defend. Have a player guard Greene closely and he is ineffective.
