My 6 year old came home singing this, which he picked up at school. I guess theres a clapping game that goes with it. I enjoyed the regional variations in the reddit thread.

I wonder if you guys have encountered any similar spoken word things (or other things) that varied greatly by region?
In our now former home of Louisiana they went to a modified best two of three playoff in the baseball tournament. There were two or three rounds out of the five playoff rounds that were 2 of 3.

Inter-school scrimmages such as the Oklahoma game and the MU-Wisconsin scrimmage are closed door so no fans/public would be present. Charity fund raiser scrimmages are open door to the public and some, such as the KSU-MSU game, had free admission with people making voluntary donations instead.
KSU has basically two periods of football - mediocrity and Snyder. There’s no history aside from Snyder, so whatever Snyder does is incredible.
KU has had several periods of up and down football. KU has at least three different coaches that have had double digit win seasons.
Snyder level success would be great… for now. After 15 years of 8 or 9 win seasons, KU would want to take the next step. KSU never did want to, because all they could imagine was falling back to pre-Snyder mediocrity. Remember, KSU isn’t a national power in any sport, so being relevant is good enough for that fan base. Relevant doesn’t cut it at KU because we have been to the top, same as why a lot of football powers struggle to find basketball coaches because the expectation is so high because the fan base isn’t content with just being okay.
@wissox No apologies necessary , It’s MY downfall - - a weakness of mine - -always been that way , and has caused some pretty heated conversations amongst friends in my past. -I know it’s just sports your right -yet everyone has or so it seems that ONE thing in their life that they are overly passionate about I think. - - Mine happens to be Sports. I’m a sports Junkie - -eat , sleep , and breathe it lol.
I think it all stems a lot from being so active with all sports growing up. Basketball - -Baseball - - Foot ball - -Track you know. Then me being able to Excel in baseball and making that ONE huge mistake by not following my dream of professional baseball. - -Had my chance , and let it slip away, but like I believe I have mention before things were a lot different in the early 70’s then now as far s salaries go.
Spending my time officiating Basketball for so long staying close to the game - -Coaching Football - -Basketball - - Baseball So I could stay close to my passions after my days were done as a player in these sports - - It’s my weakness - -you are for sure not in the wrong - -again you need not apologize , I should apologize to you actually - -and so I will - -SORRY once again I’m quick to react -it’s just my fix - -these Damn sports lol. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
@wissox I think OU has had its head up in the clouds since the Ohio State victory, they had Baylor down bye 3 touchdowns and let them come back, then blew a 2 touchdown lead Saturday at home to ISU.

Looks like you will find that many of us share your thoughts on rap music. I have a number of friends that are into music and in the music business and just about all of them consider rap a form of expression but not necessarily music; frankly, I don’t know what to call it.
What I find troubling is hearing kids repeating rap lyrics blindly and not really paying attention to what they say. I have asked many kids in the past if they really have given a thought to the lyrics and once they do they are shocked by what they have been parroting. In many ways a form of subliminal message that desensitizes kids. Definitely well beyond what my generation would consider acceptable. I am not saying that all rap is extreme. I believe Will Smith was a rapper , once upon a time, that was relatively tame by rap mainstream standards and I am sure there are other but seems like the great majority are not.
Just my personal opinion and do not expect others to share my opinion.
The contract that #%€^*# Zenger signed with Time Warner gives it exclusive rights to several men’s basketball and football games. Women’s basketball and volleyball games have also been blacked out; in other words, every sport worth watching has been affected. Can’t think of any other AD that has done more to alienate fans than Zenger…and the worst part is the fans most affected are in Kansas and the KC Metro area which had the largest concentration of KU alumni in the country.
@jayballer54 our non conference SOS is really good, we gave away a win at Santa Clara but we have a solid team. Just need to put everything together with the new faces on floor.
Update: Fifteen is now Tropical Storm Maria. The newest track shows it becoming a hurricane into the Virgin Islands and then a major hurricane when it hits PR on Wednesday. Any hurricane with that trajectory and strength could go on to the Bahamas and Florida or East Coast.
Update: A number of spaghetti models show Maria spinning off into the Atlantic to the East of the Bahamas. They said that about Irma, too, IIRC.
While being blessed to be a KU fan any time, no matter when, what a GREAT TIME it is being a KU fan right now for sure.
