##Slideshow: A decade of dominance: 10 seasons of KU titles in review##
It hasn’t always been easy. During Kansas’ 10-year run of clinching at least a share of the Big 12 regular-season title, the Jayhawks have needed clutch performances and also outstanding …
##Jayhawks won’t celebrate Big 12 title just yet##
Kansas University’s men’s basketball players won’t break out the T-shirts and hats until the day they wrap up the undisputed 2013-14 Big 12 regular-season championship.
The official celebration is on hold until five-loss league teams Iowa State and Texas, who trail KU by three games with four to play, are mathematically eliminated from the race.
###** KU’s 10 titles the talk of the college hoops world**###
Once the Jayhawks earned their 10th conference championship in a row by beating Oklahoma on Monday night, the rest of the college basketball world began acknowledging the incredible run from afar…
Here are some of the highlights from around the web:
###Ward: Kansas’ Naadir Tharpe shines late against Oklahoma###
LAWRENCE — Bill Self has probably been Naadir Tharpe’s harshest, or at least most vocal, critic.
When Kansas’ junior point guard hasn’t played well, Self has let him and everybody else know. The 11th-year coach has ripped into Tharpe plenty on the court, perhaps most notably against Toledo back in December, when he called a timeout a mere 35 seconds into the game just to chew out the native of Worcester, Mass.
###Myles Turner to visit KU###
Myles Turner, a 6-foot-11 senior center from Trinity High in Euless, Texas, will make an official recruiting visit to Kansas University for next Wednesday’s Senior Night game against Texas Tech, Rivals.com reported today.

For all those in other conferences who think our streak is nothing to write home about. They would be slobbering all over themselves if they had our stats, wouldn’t they?
Most major-conference titles in the last 10 years

I think our streak of dancing for the past 24 years is more impressive. And it probably would be 30+ had it not been for the probation year which probably cost us Coach Brown and the roughish season that followed.
Either way, we’re incredibly fortunate to have chosen such a great program to cheer for all these years.

@wissoxfan83 some teams only get in if they win league!

Five-star guard Charles Mathews commits to UK.

Why Kansas Prefers February Madness

@AzHawk97 Great read AZ! Nice to see the east coast media give us some love. I listen to Ben Cohen a lot on a podcast called the SportsRetort. Very entertaining.

“Five-star guard Charles Mathews commits to UK.”
Must seem weird to be a top prospect committing to a team that can’t even win its own conference championship.

“*Both Florida and Kentucky are in contention for the 2013-14 SEC title.”
For this to happen, Kentucky would have to win their last 4 games and Florida lose their last 3 games; this is just not going to happen. They play each other at Florida in the last game of the season. Florida has already beaten Kentucky at Kentucky by 10 points. For all practical purposes Florida has wrapped up the conference title.

@wissoxfan83 I agree that even though we have 10 straight Big 12 titles that the NCAA tourney streak is even more incredible. Duke, UNC, Cuse, Zona and all of the other big boys have had years off and KU just keeps putting up great seasons. I know we would all love to have a few more Final 4 appearances / National Titles but you have to love that every year we have a chance as we are in the tournament.
It is unbelievable that Selection Sunday is only a bit over 2 weeks away. It is one of the best days of my life every single year.

@drgnslayr_Cal is continually on record saying that conf titles don’t mean anything to him. No surprise there…
Should he ever get another he may as well give it right back.

Interestingly KU and Duke almost mirror each other for NCAA appearances since the 80’s. Duke and KU both began NCAA tournament runs in 1984 with each team missing the dance once, us in 90 and them in 95 (this is according to wikipedia). Not Kentucky nor Carolina can touch that reign of success during that timespan. Kentucky has missed twice in the last three years and had a five year absence around the time we gave them the 150-90 beatdown in 89 or 90. UNC has missed a smattering of tournies recently and in the Matt Daugherty debaucle years.
But to be consistent with what I wrote before championships matter the most to me and two is not enough. We need more!
-
@wissoxfan83 we all want more!

@globaljaybird
He might not do it voluntarily, the law (NCAA) might catch with him and take it away…and it would not be the first time either…:)
-
@JayHawkFanToo I’m somewhat suprised that it hasn’t happened already. I mean the NCAA has had almost two season to investigate him for 2012’s win. Every program he touches he burns
-
No real surprises here, but Turner has nailed down a date for his visit. Good to have an Embiid-backup in the wings if Bill Self calls his number.

I’ve heard him say it with my own ears and I still can’t believe he said it. What a stupid comment to make… very short-sited!
And this coming from the guy who is reaching for perfection! Ha… what a joke!
Amazing that we have the same overall record this year (with Kentucky), but we are ranked 9 or 10 spots ahead of them. I guess the rest of the country doesn’t recognize all that perfection in Lexington!
