the 1st link I sent you explains the different periods, the second link is a calendar of when the periods are.
you are correct face to face on campus only, that’s the quite period.

the test scores are 1 part of what’s needed, more information is also needed from Angola. Remember Cheick and the NCAA cluster hump?

even if he does get cleared. The most I would hope for is him being serviceable by march, but the experience gained would be huge with next years team looking very young.
I think the only player that would make a difference this year is Billy since he is already familiar with the system.

@BShark your bringing up names but NONE of these that you mentioned were rated as low as this kid, your not convincing me that a kid that is the 54th best shooting guard is going to be help a major D-1 school enough to benefit using the scholarship sorry just not.
Just like with Bill adapting his offense to the type of players he has had after the Quote unquote that’s just not Bill Self - -well Bill adapted to his players - -So now very likely he needs to change his stance IF that’s HIS STANCE - time to change about not holding on - -instead of filling a spot just to fill a spot - this kid can not help IF he happened to be the one - which I don’t think he really is - -BUT IF he was - -that is not a good move. - -My opinion - -you have yours
Svi was ranked 239th overall and the 59th SG https://kansas.247sports.com/Season/2014-Basketball/Commits

@Statmachine machine made a great point about Silvio that I didn’t consider. Basically if Self thought he would have been ineligible then he would have had him declare for the draft by now. Personally Im not sold on Silvio coming back either but we shall see. And, Garrett. I really think that this summer he works like mad on his shot from deep and from FT. He will get much better. I’ll bet on it.
I don’t believe Silvio can declare for the draft, isn’t the rule one year past your HS class graduation? So no reason to screw up your GPA by sending him packing before school ends even if ineligible.
Article on the other site today about Garrett working on his shot. Seems it is felt that is connected to left hand placement and he didn’t want to screw with it during the season. If he can fix that his entire game could step up a notch.
I think the rule is 19 or one year past HS graduation. maybe its both anyone know?

I think we are in the quite period not the dead period. There are two evaluation periods in April 20–22 and April 27–29.
