Yay! So we’ll probably be ranked preseason #1 again now, lol. Jeez I hope not!

Oh crap, I just heard the news about Flory. It was a gut punch out of the blue from my UCLA friend just now. Dammit, he was the one bright spot this year.

Well crap, that was a sad ending to a sad season. Not too surprising, but I had such high expectations going into this season. Damn preseason #1 jinx. I mean usually players get better with more experience. But I think we can now definitively say - not always.

The one thing that made it a bit easier for me was that it was pretty obvious this team wasn’t going anywhere towards the latter half of the season, so I wasn’t really too upset when we lost for a change - my dog was much happier that I wasn’t yelling at the tv every game!

Well we will have a bit more of a clean slate to work with next year, hopefully BS learned some things and makes some adjustments.

So for now, Rock chalk fellow board rats, thanks for all the interesting insights, and stay well.

Playing AZ in the friendly confines of Allen Fieldhouse is likely very different from playing them anywhere else. We’ve watched our team several times this year going into the last minute with a decent lead, then give the game away with bonehead plays. I had that same sick feeling last night, but we luckily held on.

I think if DJ and KJ minimize bonehead plays, Zeke stays Zekey, Hunt mans up under the basket all night, AJ (or Rylan) shows up again, and one or two others contribute off the bench, we beat AZ. That’s a lot of ifs. But hey, it’s March and stranger things have been known to happen right? Rock chalk you oldest team in country, go get em!
