You can read the full GQ article on Andrew Wiggins on their website here (though it’s kind of weird that they superimposed my body on his head during the photo shoot).

RE: How do Favourites and Reputation Work?
"Favourite"ing posts that you like is just like the “thumbs up” on the KUSports website. It just shows that you thought the post was a good comment or funny or whatever. You can also go to your profile page and click on the “Favourites” button to see all the posts you have favorited in the past.
When you see the number next to your reputation, it shows you how many people have favorited your posts. So, if someone has a huge reputation, it means that, in general, people like what they say on the site.
As far as being British, maybe @approxinfinity thinks it makes us classier than KUSports

RE: Local (to you) Digs to watch KU
Oh, and you’re wife would love the fact that Stoney’s is also an Oklahoma bar. They have flags of the team and watch parties there too, I think (although they’re not the Jayhawks so who really cares

RE: Kansas vs Duke...anybody going...predictions??
I’m thinking Wiggins shows up in a big way for this game. The knock on him has been his motor. Some say that’s because he takes it easy against weak opponents, so I would think he should do well in this game at least.

RE: Moderator rights for all!
I think this would be a good idea as long as you are able to maintain some sort of veto/reinstatement power. Seeing as you’re the creator of the site, I think that only sounds fair. Also, I noticed that you can favorite your own posts, so if you want to go by reputation, we would need to remove that function otherwise everyone would be able to manage threads.

RE: KC Star article on Joel Embiid
@Hawk8086 From the stories I read about the twins a few years ago and Robinson last year, if you’re on the bench in the NBA you don’t develop very quickly. There are limited practices and games every other night with you having to fly from city to city. Maybe I read too much into it with the twins coming in during the strike, but it seems like when they say the D-League means developmental league, they truly mean developmental league.

RE: Smart's latest comments on Wiggins & KU
Based on the picture from this link, they could also both use haircuts. I thought Self had somewhat of a strict hair style rule. Remember a few years ago when guys like Collins had stars and everything else shaved in their head? Then they lost a game and all had straight haircuts the next game, lol.

RE: KC Star article on Joel Embiid
@BaltimoreHawk Those are my thoughts exactly. When a kid has only played ball for two or three years, he could definitely use more development (and not in the D-League). Isn’t Traylor in the same boat? Didn’t start playing until later in his teens? Embiid seems to be a more-hyped (and talented) version of Traylor when he came in so hopefully he stays more than the one required year.

Ditto to Stoney’s. They have a KU themed menu (Naismith Nachos or Phog Allen Fries, anyone?), prizes for predicting the halftime and end-of-game scores as well as good prices on beer. Oh, and it’s always packed with KU fans wearing jerseys, etc. Can’t beat it.

RE: KUSports: Kansas hoops recruiting on a roll
I still think we have a strong shot at Alexander, but the fact that he is making his announcement on ESPN suggests we should be at least a little cautious with our hope of landing him. No word on if there will be hats, but if there are, we all know what that means.
